It’s been a rough couple months in the travel hacking world.
Just a few weeks after Amazon Payments discontinued their person to person transfers, multiple reports indicate that American Express Serve loads are now being counted as cash advances by Chase and a number of other banks.
This effectively kills the easiest method of manufactured spending on the market for the second time in a month.
There are still a number of options for manufacturing spend but they all require a little more legwork. I’ll cover a few of them after the dust settles on this one.
In the meantime, discontinue all Serve activity right away.
