One of the things I love to do with 10xT is show you some of the amazing results that my readers have achieved with very little time and effort.

I’ve shared many of these success stories in the past, but today’s post features a particularly remarkable result achieved by one of my newer readers, Marcus.

Marcus took advantage of one of my free 15 minute conversations in January and hasn’t looked back since. In fact, he just booked a trip to take his wife to Paris later this month for $185 (more on this later).

Three months ago the idea of traveling for next to nothing was a completely foreign concept to him. Three weeks from today he will be sipping wine with his wife on the Champs-Élysées, having paid next to nothing to get there.

So I asked him to share his story by answering a few questions about his experience so far.

Take it away, Marcus.

Tell us how you got started with points and miles. When did you decide to give it a try and what was the tipping point for your decision?

It started when I saw Bryce on Nightline and I was very intrigued, so I googled him of course. I found his website, decided to get on his email list, and picked up a copy of his book “Takeoff”.

After reading the book I thought to myself I can do this too, but I was ultimately deterred by that little voice in my head that told me it was too good to be true. Months had passed. I was still receiving emails from Bryce’s website and one morning I read the email were I could enter a drawing for a free 15 minute conversation with Bryce.

It was easy to enter the drawing, so I did, thinking that I would not be picked for one of these free 15 minute conversations with Bryce. Well I was wrong, and Bryce emailed me that I had gotten the free 15 minute opportunity with him!

The time I had to speak with Bryce completely eliminated my unfounded skepticism and lit a fire under me. Bryce was the real deal and I couldn’t wait to start the journey.

Did you have any reservations before getting started? What were they?

Oh yeah and so did my wife. I was very skeptical, this was too good to be true.

So how many frequent flyer miles have you earned so far?

217,000 and growing quickly

How much time do you spend on this hobby? And how much money have you paid out of pocket?

Not very much time at all. In the beginning you have to sink some time in to it, but once you get yourself organized and understand what you are doing it’s pretty easy. Almost too easy.

As for expense, so far just the $185 I just spent to book a roundtrip flight from San Francisco to Paris for my wife and me.

Now for the fun part, tell us about that amazing trip you just booked!

I just booked 2 roundtrip tickets to Paris for $185! I can’t believe I spent $3000 for the same trip 3 years ago!

Because of Bryce my wife and I are going back to Paris for a few days just because we can. Besides flying for virtually nothing we are also staying at the Park Hyatt Vendome for free…….yeah free!
