Low Fare Direct Flights to South America this Winter

South America is the perfect place to escape the North American winter. Whether you want to plan a trip for the holidays or you are seeking warmth, culture, nature or adventure, South America has something for everyone. Between November 2023 and January 2024, we found availability in both economy and business to Bogota, Colombia between 11k-53k per person depending on route and class. All routes are direct with taxes under $100 per person each way. 

The route to BOG from MIA is flying AA or LATAM. These flights are best priced when booked through Iberia or British Airways. Below are the routes available priced per person one way through Iberia or British Airways:

• MIA to/from BOG in economy: 11,000 (or 9k*)
• MIA to/from BOG in business: 22,000 (or 17k*)

*If you have AMEX points, this deal just became even sweeter as AMEX has a 30% transfer bonus to both Iberia and British Airways through Aug 31, 2023. This knocks the price down to 9k per person in economy or 17k per person in business!

The routes to BOG from JFK and ATL and flying Delta . These flights can be purchased through Virgin Atlantic (cheaper) or Delta (if you already have points in Delta or are eligible for Delta’s TakeOff 15 bonus). Be sure to keep an eye out for 767-300 if you are hoping for Delta One. Below are the routes available priced per person one way through Virgin Atlantic:
