Saver Awards Direct to Japan Spring 2025

Finding saver awards to Japan in Springtime can be quite the challenge. Luckily we found availability to Tokyo (HND/NRT) from across the US for as low as 25,750 per person each way in economy. Available dates are scattered between March and May 2025 flying direct on American Airlines or Japan Airlines, booking through British Airways.

British Airways is a transfer partner of Chase, AMEX, Capital One, and Bilt. If you wanted to use Citi points, you would need to transfer to Qatar first then transfer from Qatar to British Airways. If you prefer to use AA or Alaska points, these saver awards should also be available to you. 

Examples of routes (priced per person one way):

• SFO, LAX, SEA to/from Tokyo = 25,750
• LAX to/from KIX = 31,000
• ORD, DFW, SAN to/from Tokyo = 31,000
• JFK, BOS to/from Tokyo = 36,250

If you will be using AMEX points, this deal just became even sweeter. There is a transfer bonus from AMEX to British Airways through September 30, 2024 bringing the price down to 20-28k per person each way. If you do not have AMEX or prefer to use Capital One, there is a 20% bonus from Capital One to Qantas where you should also be able to book these flights for similar prices.

 All of the dates below have confirmed availability for at least 2 passengers in economy through British Airways. Some dates may even have availability in Premium Economy. Expect to pay ~$230 per person each way in taxes.
