Andrew Tan

Andrew caught the travel bug in 2011 when he studied exchange in Singapore and traveled throughout Southeast Asia, returning with a full passport.

He began his points and miles journey in 2016 when he happened to open the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card two weeks before the Chase Sapphire Reserve® debuted and was able to earn both welcome bonuses! After earning Chase points for a few years, he finally booked his bucket list flight in 2019 to fly Singapore Airlines Suites from New York to Singapore. Since then, Andrew has gone on many solo adventures, including a big road trip across the U.S. to visit the national parks. He plans to backpack through South America next.

Andrew has double bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering and business management, and has used both in various roles, including at a CPA firm helping clients file taxes and prepare financials.

Andrew joined the 10xTravel Facebook group in 2016 and was a 10xTravel groupie for many years. He jumped on the opportunity to join 10xTravel’s Galapagos trip in 2022 and then attended many of the 10xTravel Meetups where he enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experience with other readers. He joined the 10xTravel team at the end of 2023 as a 10xPert to continue to share his knowledge and experience.
