The current offer is 25,000 bonus points after $1,000 in purchases in the first 90 days, which can be redeemed as a $250 statement credit toward qualifying travel or dining purchases. The spending requirement works out to about $335 a month, which most people can reach with everyday spending, so it’s an easy offer to earn without changing how you spend. Keep in mind the points can be redeemed on travel purchases, so it’s most useful if you have a trip coming up.

Our Take
The Bank of America® Travel Rewards credit card is a simple, no-annual-fee points card for people who want flexible rewards without learning a points program. It earns a flat rate on everyday purchases, a higher rate when you book through BofA Travel, and lets you redeem for travel and dining.
Start with the trade-offs. The everyday rate is 1.5 points per $1, which is fine but not exceptional, and the top rate of 3 points per $1 only applies to travel booked through BofA Travel. That rate is only worth chasing if the prices there match what you’d find elsewhere. Redemption is built around statement credits for travel and dining purchases, which keeps things simple but isn’t designed for squeezing extra value out of airline or hotel awards.
Here’s where it pays off. There’s no annual fee and no foreign transaction fees, and points don’t expire as long as your account stays open. You’re also not limited to specific websites with blackout dates or restrictions, so you can book your trip how and where you want. Points can cover flights, hotel stays, car and vacation rentals, baggage fees, and restaurants, including takeout, so they’re easy to put to use even if you don’t travel often. BofA Rewards™ members earn more points.
This card fits if you want a low-maintenance card for everyday spending and the occasional trip, and you’d rather book on your own terms than through a portal. Skip it if you want to stretch your points through airline and hotel partners, because a transferable points card will usually do more. If you want a higher rate on travel and dining plus extra travel credits, and you’re fine paying an annual fee, the Bank of America® Premium Rewards® credit card is the step-up option.
