Overview of the Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre
Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre offers a sophisticated blend of modern amenities and a convenient location, especially for those traveling through Dubai International Airport (DXB). Set amidst lush gardens, the hotel presents a tranquil escape in the heart of Dubai’s bustling environment. Its proximity to the airport makes it an ideal choice for travelers seeking a comfortable and luxurious stay during a layover or even for a longer visit to Dubai.
How I Booked the Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre
Our booking at Le Méridien Dubai was an excellent use of a 35,000-point free night award certificate. Initially, we booked a Superior Guest room with a pool view and pool access. However, thanks to my Titanium status, we were delighted to receive an upgrade to a standard Royal Club room, which enhanced our stay with additional perks — namely access to the Royal Club for breakfast and evening happy hour.
This hotel is usually in range for booking with even Marriott’s 35,000 point certificates offered by various co-branded credit cards. During the off-season, cash rates can be reasonable, so it always makes sense to compare before you book. Marriott points and certificates can be earned with the following credit cards:
- Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card
- Marriott Bonvoy Bevy™ American Express® Card
- Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card
- Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card
- Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful™ Credit Card
- Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card
- Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card
Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre Location
Situated just minutes from Dubai International Airport, Le Méridien Dubai is a prime location for travelers. Its proximity to the airport meant that transportation was a breeze, with Uber easily facilitating our ride to and from the hotel. Despite being close to the airport, we experienced no issues with noise from the middle-of-the-night flights into and out of DXB.
Best Parts of the Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre
The Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre has some clear highlights:
- Room Upgrade: The upgrade to the Royal Club room was a significant perk. The room was well-appointed, featuring a comfortable bed, a small daybed, a cozy chair, and a desk, catering to both relaxation and any work needs. The spacious bathroom, boasting both a bath and a shower, added to the comfort of our stay.
- Royal Club Benefits: Access to the Royal Club, which included evening appetizers and drinks, was a delightful experience. The quality of food and beverages served was very good, though we noted that service could be a bit slow at times.
- Complimentary Breakfast: As a Titanium member, we enjoyed a complimentary breakfast, which was a highlight of our dining experience at the hotel. The breakfast offered a wide range of delicious options.
- Convenient to the Airport: Most importantly for us during this stay, the hotel is incredibly convenient to the airport.
Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre Drawbacks
Despite being an overall great option, there are a few drawbacks to staying here:
- Service Speed: While the food quality was high, we observed that the service during the complimentary happy hour in the Royal Club was somewhat slow.
- Limited Use of Amenities During a Short Stay: Due to our short stay, we were unable to fully explore all the amenities the hotel offers. However, the pool area looked inviting and would be worth trying during a longer visit.
Getting to the Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre
The hotel’s proximity to Dubai International Airport made transportation effortless. Using Ubers, we found it easy to travel between the hotel and the airport, adding to the convenience of our overnight layover.

Check-in at Le Méridien Dubai was efficient and welcoming. Upon arrival, the staff promptly recognized my Titanium status, which led to the room upgrade and access to the Royal Club lounge, where evening happy hour and complimentary breakfast were served. We were also informed that we could visit the regular club lounge — though the Royal Club was the more compelling option, which is where we chose to dine. The process was smooth, setting a positive tone for our stay.
We arrived about halfway through the evening happy hour at the Royal Club and we headed straight there.

The Royal Club lounge is where you can enjoy breakfast, dinner and happy hour — some complimentary depending on your status and room type. | By Charlie Lewis
Our dining experiences at Le Méridien Dubai were limited to the complimentary breakfast and the happy hour in the Royal Club. Both offerings were impressive in terms of food quality, though the service was slow during the evening happy hour — to the point where we weren’t even sure we were going to have a chance to order before it was over.

Breakfast was a hit — especially the french toast (I think about it to this day). Don’t miss it if you stay at the Le Meridien Dubai. | By Charlie Lewis
The breakfast was particularly notable for its wide variety and delicious options, providing a fantastic start to the day before we headed back to the airport. It’s actually one of the best breakfasts I can recall from the year.

The hotel also offers a spa and fitness center.
Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre – Family Friendliness
While our stay was short and did not involve family travel, Le Méridien Dubai appears to be a family-friendly hotel, though we did not see many children in the Royal Club areas of the hotel
Final Thoughts on Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre
Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre is a superb choice for travelers looking for luxury and convenience near Dubai International Airport. The Royal Club upgrade, along with the benefits it offered, greatly enhanced our experience. The hotel’s tranquil ambiance, combined with its proximity to the airport and high-quality dining options, makes it a hotel I would consider for both short layovers and longer stays in Dubai.
