Contest Overview

This contest consists of 3 separate Scavenger Hunts, each with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers, and one Grand Prize that will be awarded to one person.

Participants are welcome to participate in all 3 tracks in any order, or even simultaneously if they choose.

The 3 scavenger hunts, also referred to as “tracks”, each consist of a series of tasks and challenges that need to be completed in sequential order. All tasks and challenges can be completed online, there is no requirement to leave your home or do anything in the “real world”.

Each of the 3 tracks have prizes for the individuals who complete them 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Placement will be determined by the timestamp on the final form submission for each of the 3 tracks.

In order to be considered for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place for any of the 3 tracks, participants must complete each challenge in sequential order. If a participant completes the final submission form, but has not completed every prior challenge in the track, that person will be disqualified.

Participants in each track will also earn additional entries for the Grand Prize, which will be awarded to one individual via a random drawing.

Participants will be awarded 1 Grand Prize entry for each track that they start, with this entry being awarded when they opt in to the form on the start page.

Participants will receive an additional 5 entries for each challenge that they complete within each track, measured by the completion of each google form associated with a challenge. In the event that a single challenge within a track has multiple options on how to proceed, participants will only receive 5 entries for having completed either one of those options. Participants will not get additional entries for having completed multiple.

Participants will receive an additional 50 entries if they complete an entire track, meaning they have completed every google form along the way and also the final completion form.

No participant can earn points for the same action twice. This includes repeating challenges, tracks, and initial entry to the same track.

Contest Rules

By participating in the 10xTravel “10xTravel 100k Insiders Scavenger Hunt Contest”, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of 10xTravel and that you satisfy all eligibility requirements. This contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. No purchase necessary.

ELIGIBILITY:

This contest is open to U.S. citizens who are 21 years of age or older. Employees, contractors, partners, service providers of 10xTravel are not eligible to participate in the contest and/or win a prize. Additionally, relatives of such employees, partners, service providers are not eligible to win.

Limit one entry per household. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant that it believes is in violation of these rules (same person entering using multiple aliases, individuals helping family members complete the contest, etc.)

CONTEST ENTRY PERIOD:

This contest begins on December 28th, 2021 at 2pm EST and ends on January 10th, 2022 at 5pm EST. To be eligible for the the contest, entries must be received within the specified Entry Period.

DISQUALIFICATION:

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any contest participant who, in the opinion of the sponsor, attempts to circumvent the rules or process of the contest. This includes, but is not limited to, using 3rd party tools to try to obtain clues via alternative means, sharing answers with other participants, or entering the contest multiple times.

This will be enforced using a handful of tracking tools that are disclosed in our privacy policy. Sponsor will be looking for indicators such as participants skipping steps (reaching levels that would be impossible to reach without prior steps being completed), participants moving too quickly between website pages included in the scavenger hunt, etc.

PRIVACY:

Except as otherwise stated in these official rules, the use of the information each entrant submits in this contest is governed by the 10xTravel privacy policy, which can be found at http://10xtravel.com/privacy-policy/

PRIZES:

10xTravel Trivia Track:

1st Place: $500, a 10xTravel+ Pro Membership for life, two meetup tickets, flight for 1 (max value $500, economy class)
2nd Place: $200, a 10xTravel+ Premium Membership for life, two guaranteed meetup tickets
3rd Place: $100, a $100 10xTravel store credit, 10xTravel+ Premium membership for 1 year

Meetup flight to be booked by Sponsor with input from prize winner. Max value of $500. Economy class. Sponsor will book the most reasonable itinerary with regard to cost and travel time.

Pop Culture Track:

1st Place: $500, a 10xTravel+ Pro Membership for life, $100 Cameo Gift Card
2nd Place: $200, a 10xTravel+ Premium Membership for life, $50 Cameo Gift Card
3rd Place: $100, a $100 10xTravel store credit, 10xTravel+ Premium membership for 1 year

Aviation & Points:

1st Place: $500, a 10xTravel+ Pro Membership for life, Free round-trip award booking for 2 passengers
2nd Place: $200, a 10xTravel+ Premium Membership for life, $100 gift card to an airline of your choice
3rd Place: $100, a $100 10xTravel store credit, 10xTravel+ Premium membership for 1 year

Grand Prize:

Choice of one free 10xTravel Trip or another trip of the winners choosing, up to $2,000 max value.

Grand prize must be chosen and booked within 2 years of award date.

“10xTravel Trip” refers to the trips featured at www.10xtravel.com/trips.

Winner can choose any future 10xTravel Trip they like, subject to availability and any other terms, conditions, and restrictions imposed by said trip. Should trip be cancelled for any reason other than by prize winner, prize winner may choose another trip. Note that travel to and from the 10xTravel trip is not included.

$2,000 trip to be booked in coordination with Sponsor. Sponsor will pay for up to $2,000 total toward a trip to any location. This $2,000 total can be used for flights, hotels, ground transportation, and activities that take place at the trip destination.

Terms and Conditions for all prizes:

All cash prizes to be paid by PayPal, Venmo, or other reasonable means agreed upon by prize winner and Sponsor. Payment to be made within 60 days of notice of award.

Limit one individual winner per prize, we will not divide the same prize among multiple people.

Free 10xTravel Award Booking needs to be used within 2 years of notice of award.

$100 10xTravel store credit must be redeemed within 2 years of notice of award.

“Meetup tickets” refers to the 10xTravel annual meetup. Location and date are TBD. These tickets are not exchangeable or transferrable to another party.

The Winner(s) of the 10xTravel 100k Insiders Scavenger Hunt Contest (the “Winner”) will receive prize(s) as outlined in the Prizes section above. The actual/appraised prize value may differ at the time the prize is awarded. The prize(s) shall be determined solely by the Sponsor. There shall be no cash or other prize substitution permitted except at the Sponsor’s discretion. The prize is non-transferable. The prize is non-transferable. The Winner, upon acceptance of the prize, is solely responsible for all expenses related to the prize, including without limitation any and all local, state, and federal taxes. The Winner shall not transfer assignment of the prize to others nor shall the Winner request the cash equivalent or prize substitution. By accepting the prize, the selected Winner grants permission for the Sponsor to use the Winner’s likeness, entry, and name for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law.

All winners must provide 10xTravel with a valid Social Security number or taxpayer-identification number before the Sponsor can award the prize. A Form 1099 will be issued to any winners who are given a prize that is worth more than $600.

ODDS OF WINNING:

The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS:

The winners will be notified on January 11th, 2022 via e-mail that he/she, subject to verification, is a winner. Each winner must complete an IRS Form W-9 for verification. After the winner is notified, 10xTravel will make 2 attempts to contact the winner to arrange for delivery/award of the prizes. If winner does not reply within 10 days, the winner will forfeit the prize and a new winner will be selected.

Should another winner be drawn, that winner will be notified via email have will have 3 business days to reply to confirm acceptance. This process will be repeated until a winner has been confirmed for each prize.

If the prize cannot be delivered after a reasonable effort has been made by 10xTravel, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible, the winner forfeits the prize and an alternate winner will not be selected.

All winners must present a valid government identification with a name that matches the name used in the contest.

SPONSORSHIP:

This contest is sponsored by 10xTravel, a Conway Media, LLC company. Sponsor will conduct the contest substantially as described in these official rules.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

Your entry into this contest constitutes Your agreement to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its subsidiaries, representatives, affiliates, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, successors, agents, assigns, directors, employees, and officers against and from any and all claims, liability, illness, injury, death, litigation, loss, or damages that may occur, directly or indirectly from participation in the contest and/or the 1) Winners accepting, possessing, using, or misusing of any awarded prize or any portion thereof; 2) any type of technical failure; 3) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, phone, or Internet service; 4) unauthorized intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; 5) electronic error or human error in the Promotion administration or the processing of entries.

DISCLAIMERS:

All entrants, as a condition of participation in this Contest, agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of 10xTravel. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the “Authorized Account Holder” of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. Authorized Account Holder means the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Except where prohibited by law, by entering this contest, each entrant consents to the use of his/her name, voice, picture, likeness and biographical data and/or any other information contained in his/her entry in advertising, promotional and marketing materials by 10xTravel and its Affiliates without additional compensation. In addition, by entering, all entrants, except where prohibited by law, consent to being photographed, filmed, taped and/or interviewed about the contest. In connection therewith, all entrants grant full permission and consent to 10xTravel and its Affiliates to utilize any of the results of such photographing, filming, taping and/or interviewing in any and all media now known or hereafter devised and hereby release 10xTravel and its Affiliates from all liability related thereto. Winner, by acceptance of any prize, agrees to release 10xTravel and its Affiliates from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of any prize or while traveling to and from a location to obtain or use any prize. Further, no responsibilities are accepted for any additional expenses, omissions, delays, re-routing, or acts of any government or authority. Neither 10xTravel nor its Affiliates make any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the use of any Prize including, without limitation, quality, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Neither 10xTravel and its Affiliates are responsible for technical, hardware, software, or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by 10xTravel and its Affiliates, the user or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this contest, its prizes or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this contest and which may limit a participant’s ability to participate in this contest. Entries that are incomplete, illegible or corrupted are void and will not be accepted. Any person who supplies false information, enters by fraudulent means, or is otherwise determined to be in violation of these official rules in an attempt to obtain any prize will forfeit the prize won and may be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The contest shall be governed by U.S. law.

10xTravel withholds the right to modify these official rules in any way or at any time, as long as it gives reasonable notice.
