You find yourself wandering across the beach as guests fight over mattresses inside white tents. Unfortunately for you, you’re so used to Hyatt Globalist status that playing tug of war over a damp twin size mattress doesn’t seem worth it. You’re focused on the big picture: getting off the island.

After walking for what seems like forever, you happen across a property on the other side of the island that appears to hosts VIPS and the festival staff. Hoping they can help you out more than the volunteer workers earlier, you attempt to get through. Sadly, it’s all behind a tall chain linked fence and your only way through appears to be by knowing padlock code at the gate.

With no service, and nothing to return to, you decide to sit and wait. After all, someone has to show up eventually, right?

RIGHT?

Then, glistening like an Evian mist spray coming down from the heavens, you see him. The man. The myth. The legend. Mr. King.

You ask if you can get through the gate to use the phones or book a flight out, but he says he’s unable to as a media pass is required for entry. However, being the team player that he is, he helps you figure out a course of action that will help in some capacity. He asks if you have a phone, you mention you do, and he says record this message carefully as he’s going to help you as much as he can without getting in trouble.

Without fully remembering the scene as it happens, you record his message. Almost as quickly as he arrived, he rode off on the golf cart to the resort on the other side of the fence. You gather your composure and watch the video.

The front desk? You don’t recall seeing a front desk. White 2x4s with a ‘concierge’ sign, sure, but no front desk. As you look around, you see a sign through the fence.

It appears the front desk Andy mentions isn’t one the people on the other side want you to find. The sign with the directions to the main office has been scribbled over and from the distance you are, you can’t tell if they’ve changed the direction it’s facing either.

With limited hours left of sunlight, you realize you need to solve how far away the main office is before calculating your next steps.

As Andy quickly rides through the gate again, he grabs your attention and leaves something on the back of a business card for you. The message says:

To solve the distance to the front desk,

Think of places more picturesque,

There are plenty of other islands out there that’s true

So focus on the pages of island articles 10xTravel has written for you

Take the number, it’s a big one for sure

And add a decimal after the first number to make it more manageable

Then enter the number on the gps of the golf cart I left for you

It’s hidden to the left with a few more clues

Sure enough, on the other side of the corner were a handful of golf carts, with one having keys and a few documents inside. You add the documents to your Fannie pack and you proceed to solve the riddle.

Enter the number into the GPS below and make sure to double check the items you added to your fanny pack are with you before you head off (below).
