Wells Fargo has officially expanded its rewards landscape by adding Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Red as new transfer partners. This partnership allows Wells Fargo Rewards members to transfer their points to Virgin Points at a 1:1 ratio, with no minimum transfer requirement.
This means that whether you’re looking to book a last-minute flight or redeem points for unique experiences through Virgin Red, the process is now more accessible than ever. Users can manage their transfers through the Wells Fargo website or mobile app, with transfers typically processed instantly, although they may take up to 72 hours in rare cases.
The benefits don’t stop with just flights. With Virgin Red, members can redeem points for experiences such as cruises and hotel stays, allowing for greater flexibility in how you use your earned points. By transferring points between these programs, savvy travelers can optimize their rewards for both air travel and exciting lifestyle experiences.

Our Take
In our opinion, Wells Fargo is moving in the right direction by adding more transfer partners, but still can’t compete on the level of other card issuers that have more transfer partner options.
That said, the ability to redeem points across various Virgin offerings increases the usefulness and value of Wells Fargo Rewards, providing members with numerous ways to enhance their travel experiences.
Whether you’re planning a trip across the Atlantic or seeking out adventures through Virgin Red, now is the time to evaluate how Wells Fargo Rewards points can work harder for you.
