Hi Travel Junkies,
10xTravel will turn 7 years old in July.
It’s hard to believe, but its the truth. We have spent the better part of a decade pursuing our mission of turning travel dreams in to reality.
And thanks to an incredible combination of hard work, persistence, and a lot of dumb luck we have been able to do it with “The Best Business Model Ever”.
(Bryce’s words, never to be confused with high-level business strategy, and usually spoken while explaining how 10xT makes money after a drink or two).
“The Best Business Model Ever”
We share our love for travel with thousands of supportive readers, those readers get boatloads of free content and advice from experts, and no money changes hands thanks to the wonderful world of affiliate marketing.
A community of tens of thousands of people, who hang out both online and in the real world, was built almost entirely on those couple of extra clicks that our readers did before applying for a new credit card.

But like many industries around the world, that all came to a crashing halt about one month ago. I don’t need to tell you why. You already know.
Banks know too, which is why they have effectively turned off all of their credit card affiliate programs until further notice. Immediately eliminating more than 90% of the revenue earned by 10xTravel and other companies in our industry.
Sophisticated businesspeople would call this a “black swan“. An unpredictable event that is beyond what is normally expected of a situation and has potentially severe consequences.
You already know that I am not one for sophisticated business terms, so I would simplify it by saying that its the death of the newly coined “Best Business Model Ever”. The reality is that 10xTravel will not be able to continue doing what we do for very long if current circumstances do not change.
Which is why we are asking for your support.
10xTravel Support
Normally I tell you about new 10xT projects by saying “Today we are thrilled to announce X Project”. But that doesn’t quite capture our feelings about this one.
So I’ll say that today we are anxious, but cautiously optimistic to announce the launch of 10xTravel Support.
10xTravel Support is a campaign that asks readers to become “10xTravel Supporters” by making an annual contribution to 10xTravel. Contributions can be made for as little as $4 per month and yes, we accept credit cards. Your purchase should code as “travel”.
We are asking for contributions to be made annually because it allows us to gain some stability in our business. But should you change your mind simply let us know and we will happily cancel your contribution with no questions asked. We will even give you a refund if you are within 30 days of your annual contribution being charged.
I am guessing that you’ll find these terms to be familiar.
In exchange for their support, 10xTravel Supporters will receive a thank you note and a gift from 10xT. More importantly, they will receive the eternal gratitude of the entire 10xTravel team for stepping up for us when we needed it most.
The past 7 years have been an absolutely blast. Together, with your support, I have no doubt that the next 7 will be even better.
Happy Travels,
Bryce
