Coast to Coast Availability in Business Direct to Japan Spring 2026

Finding saver award availability to Japan during peak season can be quite the challenge. Luckily we found availability to Tokyo (HND/NRT) in March 2026 from across the U.S. (BOS, JFK, ORD, DFW, SAN, LAX, SFO, SEA) for as low as 70,000 per person, one way in business. This is flying direct on Japan Airlines, and booking through Japan Airlines. If Tokyo is not your final destination, you may be able to replace Tokyo with another JAL location such as KIX, OKA, TPE, HKG, MNL, SGN, BKK, etc for similar fares.

 Below are the routes available priced per person, one way through Japan Airlines

• BOS, DFW, JFK to/from Tokyo = 105,000- 111,000

• ORD to/from Tokyo = 75,000- 84,000

• LAX, SFO, SAN, SEA to/from Tokyo = 70,000- 110,000

While the transfer ratio from Bilt to Japan Airlines is 1:1, the transfer from Capital One to Japan Airlines is 2:1.5. However, if you will be using Capital One points, there is a 30% transfer bonus to Japan Airlines through October 23, 2025, bringing the price down to as low as 72,000 per person one-way! To calculate the points needed: total points required on JAL * (2 / 1.5) / 1.3 = total points needed to transfer

Previously, in order to book through Japan Airlines, it was required to have an account active for at least 60 days. New data points have shown that as a new transfer partner of Capital One, that there may be an exception reduced to 7 days. If you had an account open for at least 7 days and are still unable to book, you may need to call the help desk in order to remove the restriction on your account.

All of the dates below have confirmed availability for at least 2 passengers through Japan Airlines. Expect to pay $200-250 per person, each way in taxes.
