Family Summer Getaway for 5+

With a lot of international travel up in the air right now, a lot of people are looking to domestic travel for their summer trips. A popular summer destination on many people’s radars is Hawaii.

If you’re looking to take your family to Hawaii, we have found a lot of great summer availability. The dates we’ve found are great to accommodate families. All of the dates below have at least 5 seats available, but many have up to 7! Some even have 5 or more days of business class availability as well.

The pricing varies by city and by program. One of the easier programs to book with is British Airways Avios. You can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards, American Express Membership Rewards, or Citi ThankYou points to British Airways.

British Airways uses a distance based award chart, so if you’re flying between Los Angeles and Maui, you’ll need 13,000 points per person in economy or 38,750 in business class on the select dates where business class is available. Between Dallas and Maui you’ll need 20,750 Avios.

Another option is to book using American Airlines AAdvantage program. AA prices on zones, so it costs the same whether you’re departing from Los Angeles or Dallas: 20,000 miles for economy, 45,000 for business.
