The Big Picture
This is a big one!
For just a few days, Turkish Airlines is running a 40% off sale on all tickets, including business class. You’ll have to book this deal by the end of the day tomorrow, January 15th.
Some routes this isn’t as big of a discount as others, but there’s some where the discount really adds up. There’s availability across numerous dates between April 1st and the end of the year out of a number of US airports, and to a number of airports around the world. There may even be ones on here you haven’t heard of. Some are as low as $1,500, while others go up to $2,500.
You can book these using Chase Ultimate Rewards for 1.25 to 1.5 cents per point. If you can get 1.5 cents per point, some of the cheaper options on the list would only require 100,000 points round-trip in business class. Ultimate Rewards will be about the same if you have The Business Platinum Card from American Express that gives you a 35% rebate on points bookings. This is also a good opportunity if you’re holding onto some Capital One Venture or Spark Miles.
Since these are paid fares, you’ll also earn redeemable miles. You can earn them to your Turkish Miles & Smiles account to earn 135% of the distance flown. Other options include LifeMiles or United, but we’d recommend sticking with Turkish as they have some nice sweet spots and are a bit harder to earn.
