Chase is offering a great deal right now. If you transfer your Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Air Canada’s Aeroplan program, you’ll get 20% more points. This means 1,000 Chase points become 1,200 Aeroplan points. The offer lasts until July 17. You need a specific Chase card to use this deal, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve®, or Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card. If you have the Aeroplan® Credit Card too, you can get an extra 10% bonus for every 50,000 points you transfer, up to 25,000 bonus points per year.

Aeroplan points are very useful for flights. You can book short United Airlines flights for 10,000 points (or less than 8,400 Chase points with this bonus). Business class flights to Europe cost 60,000 points (50,000 Chase points with the bonus). You can even fly business class to India for 90,000 points (75,000 Chase points with this deal). For most partner airlines, Aeroplan uses a fixed award chart with good rates.

Our Take

This is one of the best transfer deals we’ve seen lately. Aeroplan is already a top program for using points, and this bonus makes it even better. The program partners with many airlines, giving you lots of options for your trips. We especially like using Aeroplan for business class flights to Europe, which are a great value.

Our advice is to take advantage of this offer if you have travel plans coming up. The 20% bonus means you’ll need fewer Chase points for the same flights. Remember, transfers happen right away, so you can book as soon as you move your points. Just make sure to check flight availability before transferring, since once you move points to Aeroplan, you can’t move them back to Chase.
