At 10xTravel, we spend most of our time teaching you how to earn and redeem points on your own — which cards to get, how to hit signup bonuses, and how to turn those points into real trips. But sometimes reading article after article isn’t what you need. Sometimes you just want to talk it through with someone who does this for a living.

That’s what our Points & Miles Consultation is for. Instead of piecing together a strategy from a dozen different blog posts, you book one hour with a 10xpert who looks at your actual cards, your actual spending, and your actual travel goals — and helps you build a plan around all three.

Here’s exactly how the process works, from booking to the plan you walk away with.

How to Book a Consultation

To book a session, visit the consultation page and click “Book Your Consultation.” You’ll be taken to our scheduling page, where you’ll pick a time and pay the $190 session fee up front to confirm your spot.

As part of booking, you’ll answer a short set of questions about your current cards, your spending habits, and your travel goals. This usually takes 5–10 minutes, and it’s the single most useful thing you can do to get real value out of your hour — it means your 10xpert shows up already knowing your situation, instead of spending the first 20 minutes of the call just gathering background information.

Already a My10x user? You can skip most of this — we’ll pull your cards and points balances directly from your account instead of asking you to retype everything. Just make sure your My10x account is up-to-date with your cards and points balances.

Don’t use My10x? No problem. If you track your cards and points some other way (a spreadsheet, a notes app, whatever works for you), you can either screen-share it during the call, or email it to your 10xpert beforehand — their name and email will be right there in your booking confirmation.

What Happens on the Call

Your session is a full 60 minutes, one-on-one over Zoom, with a 10xpert who specializes in exactly this kind of card and points strategy work.

This is a strategy session, not a booking service — think of it as the planning conversation that happens before you go apply for a card or book an award flight, not the actual application or booking itself. Depending on what you’re working on, your 10xpert might help you with things like:

  • Deciding which card(s) make sense for you to open next, and in what order
  • Figuring out whether it’s time to close, downgrade, or keep an existing card
  • Mapping out how to hit a signup bonus without accidentally competing with another one you’re chasing
  • Building a redemption plan for a specific trip you have in mind
  • Sorting out a strategy that covers both personal and business cards, if that applies to you
  • Anything else you’d like to discuss — this is your time to ask questions

It’s a genuinely open conversation — ask whatever’s actually on your mind, even if it wasn’t one of the questions on the intake form.

After the Call: Your Written Action Plan

Within 48 hours of your session, you’ll get a written recap by email — a clear action plan covering what to do next and roughly when, plus the redemption target you discussed.

As a thank-you for booking, you’ll also get a little something extra after your call — a nice bonus to help you get even more out of your points and miles strategy going forward.

Who This Isn’t For

This consultation is built for people who already have at least a few cards in play and want a real, personalized strategy session — not for every stage of the points and miles journey. It’s probably not the right fit if you:

  • Are brand new to points and miles. Start with our free course first — it’ll get you up to speed on the basics at no cost, and you can always book a consultation later once you have cards and questions worth talking through.
  • Just want help with your award flight booking, not a strategy conversation. That’s a different service — check out our Award Booking Service instead.
  • Want ongoing tools and community rather than a single session. 10xTravel+ is a better fit if what you’re after is continuous tracking, alerts, and community access rather than a one-time deep dive.

Pricing

The consultation is a flat $190 for a 60-minute session.

You can reschedule anytime yourself using the link in your calendar invite. If you need to cancel instead, just reply to your Zoom invite email and we’ll take care of it.

FAQs

Will you book my flights or apply for cards during the call?

No — this is a strategy session, not a booking service. If you’re looking for help actually booking an award flight, check out our Award Booking Service instead.

Do I need to prepare anything before the call?

Just the short questionnaire when you book. If you’re a My10x user, you can skip most of it.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

You can reschedule anytime yourself using the link in your calendar invite. If you need to cancel instead, just reply to your Zoom invite email and we’ll take care of it on our end.

I’m a business owner — is this consultation still a fit for me?

Yes. The intake questions include a couple of extra questions specifically for business owners, so your 10xpert can factor in both your personal and business card strategy.

What do I get after the call?

A written action plan within 48 hours, plus a little thank-you gift from us.

The Bottom Line

Points and miles strategy isn’t one-size-fits-all — the right next card for you depends on cards you already have, how you actually spend, and where you’re actually trying to go. Our Points & Miles Consultation exists for exactly that: one hour, one-on-one, with a real plan to show for it afterward.

If you’d rather keep learning and building your own strategy for free, our articles and free course are still the best place to start. But if you’d rather just talk it through with someone who does this every day, book your consultation and we’ll take it from there.
