The Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers Hotel stands as an iconic fixture in the city’s skyline, offering a truly luxurious experience that embodies the essence of the UAE. During my one-night stay, I was thoroughly impressed by the hotel’s attention to detail, stunning views and exceptional service.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this property takes pride in delivering a five-star experience. The panoramic vistas of the Arabian Gulf and the city’s architectural marvels, combined with the hotel’s commitment to luxury, created an unforgettable stay that left us wishing we had booked for longer.

How I Booked Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers
I booked our stay at the Conrad Abu Dhabi using my The Platinum Card® from American Express’ $200 Fine Hotels & Resorts credit. The room rate was $309 for the night, which meant we only paid $109 out of pocket. As an added bonus, we received a $100 food and beverage credit to use during our stay.
My Hilton Diamond status, courtesy of my Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card, further enhanced our experience. We were granted free breakfast, access to evening appetizers and drinks plus a room upgrade. These perks significantly increased the value of our stay and allowed us to enjoy more of what the hotel had to offer without additional cost.

Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers Location
The Conrad Abu Dhabi sits in a prime location in the heart of the city. While our short stay didn’t allow for extensive exploration, the hotel’s position seemed ideal for those looking to discover Abu Dhabi’s attractions.
The property’s central location offers easy access to the city’s key areas, making it a convenient choice for both leisure and business travelers.
Best Parts of the Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers
The Conrad Abu Dhabi was one of my most memorable hotel stays of 2023. Here are some of the reasons why.
Breathtaking Views

The view from our room was honestly almost as good as the view from the Observation Deck. | Photo by Charlie Lewis
The panoramic views from our upgraded room and the Observation Deck were truly spectacular, offering an unparalleled perspective of Abu Dhabi’s skyline and the Arabian Gulf.
Complimentary Observation Deck Access

We likely wouldn’t have paid $25 per person to visit the Observation Deck, so the fact that it was complimentary with our stay was a delight. | Photo by Charlie Lewis
Having free access to the Observation Deck, typically priced at $25 per person per visit, was a valuable perk that allowed us to enjoy the views both during the day and evening. There’s no way we otherwise would have gotten to see the view at both times of day (at a cost of $100), and we likely wouldn’t have even paid $50 to visit once.
Generous Elite Status Recognition
The hotel’s recognition of my Hilton Diamond status resulted in numerous benefits, including a room upgrade, free breakfast and access to evening appetizers and drinks.
Luxurious Accommodations
Our upgraded King Junior Suite was spacious and well-appointed, and featured floor-to-ceiling windows that maximized the stunning views.
Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers Drawbacks
The only drawbacks for us were related to how short our stay was because we really loved the property, but there are a few things you should be aware of, especially if you don’t have elite status.
Short Stay
The primary drawback was the brevity of our stay. One night wasn’t enough to fully experience all the hotel had to offer.
Limited Exploration
Due to our short stay, we weren’t able to explore the surrounding area or take advantage of all the hotel’s amenities.
Potential Cost Without Status
While our stay was excellent value due to status and credit card perks, the regular rates might be prohibitive for some travelers without these benefits.
Getting to Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers
We rented a car at the airport for our trip, which provided convenient transportation to the hotel. There was no charge to park at the hotel. For those not driving, the hotel is accessible by taxi or ride-sharing services from Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Check-In

Like everything at the Conrad Abu Dhabi, the lobby was bright and luxurious. | Photo by Charlie Lewis
The check-in process at the Conrad Abu Dhabi was seamless and welcoming. We were greeted warmly upon arrival, and the staff efficiently processed our reservation. My Hilton Diamond status was immediately recognized, leading to a smooth upgrade to a King Junior Suite.
The staff was professional and courteous, quickly explaining the various benefits we’d receive during our stay, including the complimentary breakfast, evening appetizers and access to the Observation Deck (something that I had no idea about ahead of time). Their efficiency and friendliness set a positive tone for our entire stay.
The Room at Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers

While not as big as some other Junior Suites I’ve stayed in, our suite here was extremely comfortable and the view more than made up for the size. | Photo by Charlie Lewis
We were fortunate to be upgraded from a Superior Room with a Queen Bed and Sea View to a King Junior Suite.

We absolutely couldn’t get enough of these views. | Photo by Charlie Lewis
The room’s standout feature was undoubtedly the floor-to-ceiling windows that provided panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. These expansive windows flooded the room with natural light and offered a constantly changing backdrop as the day progressed. It made it hard to even leave the room.
The king-sized bed was supremely comfortable, outfitted with high-quality linens that ensured a restful night’s sleep. The room also included modern amenities, such as complimentary WiFi and a high-definition television.

The bathroom was lovely and had both a shower and a bathtub. | Photo by Charlie Lewis
The bathroom was a highlight, featuring both a shower and a bathtub—a combination I always appreciate in hotel rooms. While not extravagantly large, it was spacious enough to be comfortable and maintained the high standard of luxury present throughout the room.
Food and Drink
Despite our short stay, we were able to sample several of the hotel’s food and beverage offerings. The complimentary breakfast, a perk of my Diamond status, was of high quality with a good variety of options to start the day.
In the evening, we took advantage of the appetizers and drinks offered to status members. These were served by the pool area, creating a lovely ambiance as the sun set. The selection was substantial enough to serve as our dinner, which was a pleasant surprise.
We used our $100 food and beverage credit to purchase sandwiches and a cake to take with us to our next destination. The quality of these items was excellent, further confirming the high standards of the hotel’s culinary offerings.
Amenities

While we didn’t swim, we did enjoy sitting by the pool during the complimentary evening appetizers. | Photo by Charlie Lewis
While our brief stay didn’t allow us to fully explore all the amenities, what we did experience was impressive. The pool area, which we saw during the evening appetizer service, looked inviting and well-maintained.

While we didn’t work out at the gym, the equipment available looked solid. | Photo by Charlie Lewis
The hotel also offers a gym and spa, though we didn’t have the opportunity to use these facilities. However, based on the overall quality of the hotel, I would expect these amenities to be equally impressive.

It was amazing to visit the Observation Deck for both the daytime and nighttime views. | Photo by Charlie Lewis
Perhaps the most notable amenity was the complimentary access to the Observation Deck. This feature, which typically costs around $25 per person per visit, offered stunning views of Abu Dhabi and added significant value to our stay.
Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers Family Friendliness
While we didn’t travel with family, the spaciousness of our suite and the hotel’s amenities suggest that the Conrad Abu Dhabi could accommodate families well. The room we stayed in could sleep up to three people, making it suitable for small families. There were plenty of kids playing in the pool during the evening appetizer service, which leads me to believe that this hotel is often chosen as a family-friendly option.
Final Thoughts on Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers
My stay at the Conrad Abu Dhabi, though brief, was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel truly embodies the luxury and grandeur associated with high-end UAE hospitality. From the stunning views to the generous elite status recognition and the overall quality of service, every aspect of our stay was impressive.
While the regular rates might be on the higher side, the value we received, especially considering my status and credit card benefits, was substantial. The only regret I have is not staying longer to fully experience all that this magnificent property has to offer. I would absolutely recommend the Conrad Abu Dhabi to anyone looking for a luxurious stay in the heart of the city and hope to stay again on a future trip. It’s an experience that lingers in memory long after checkout.
