Our Take

We still penalize this card a bit in our rankings due to the restrictions that have been placed on Bonvoy cards issued by both Chase and American Express.

These restrictions basically make getting the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card somewhat obsolete, as you can get a virtually identical offer from American Express that does not disqualify you from also getting the Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card.

This card gives you an annual free night on your account anniversary each year, able to be used at any Marriott hotel that costs up to 35,000 points per night. Which covers many Marriott properties in their portfolio and makes the card worth keeping indefinitely for many people. You’ll also get Silver Elite Status with this card.

And finally, the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card allows you to earn up to 17X total points for every $1 spent at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy (broken into up to 6X points with Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card, up to 10X points from Marriott Bonvoy® for being a member and up to 1X points from Marriott Bonvoy® with Silver Elite Status). Earn 2x points per $1 on everything else. This makes it a decent choice for everyday spend for anyone looking to earn points to use at Marriott properties or with their transfer partners.
