The Hyatt Regency Delhi has carved out a reputation for exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, and an impressive array of amenities that cater to a diverse clientele. Whether you’re a business traveler closing deals in the nearby corporate offices, a leisure seeker looking to explore Delhi’s culture or a family in search of a comfortable base for your adventures, the Hyatt Regency Delhi aims to exceed your expectations.
Some areas of the hotel have been recently renovated, and the hotel boasts modernized rooms and suites that blend contemporary comfort with touches of traditional Indian design. The property’s standout features include the rejuvenating Club Olympus Spa & Fitness center, a variety of acclaimed dining options spanning global cuisines and the trendy Sky Bar offering panoramic views of Delhi’s skyline. With its elegant ambiance, spacious lobby bathed in natural light and tranquil landscaped gardens, the Hyatt Regency Delhi provides an oasis amidst the energy of the city.
How I Booked the Hyatt Regency Delhi
My booking experience with the Hyatt Regency Delhi showcased the value of loyalty programs and the perks of elite status. I secured my stay directly through Hyatt, leveraging my points for a remarkable redemption. The seven-night stay was booked for 30,000 World of Hyatt points, which represents excellent value considering the hotel’s luxury status and the length of the stay.
Better yet, as a Hyatt Globalist member, I was able to enhance my stay by applying a suite upgrade award. This allowed me to elevate my experience from a standard room to a spacious Regency Suite at no additional cost.
As a Category 1 property, this hotel can be booked with the free night certificate offered by The World of Hyatt Credit Card, but this may not be the best use of your certificates as the hotel has points rates starting at 3,500 World of Hyatt points per night.

Hyatt Regency Delhi Location

The Hyatt Regency Delhi enjoys a prime location in Bhikaji Cama Place, a prominent commercial and business district in South Delhi with easy access to a surprisingly modern metro system and inexpensive cabs and tuktuks at your beck and call. This strategic positioning offers guests the best of both worlds—easy access to the city’s business heart and proximity to some of Delhi’s most captivating attractions.
For those looking to explore, the hotel serves as an excellent base. Iconic sites such as India Gate, the Lotus Temple, and the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb are all within easy reach. Shoppers will appreciate the nearby markets, from the upscale Khan Market to the bargain hunter’s paradise of Sarojini Nagar Market. The hotel’s location in a bustling business district, coupled with its proximity to other commercial centers like Nehru Place, makes it an ideal choice for business travelers as well.
Best Parts of the Hyatt Regency Delhi
There are many things to like about the Hyatt Regency Delhi—here are a few of my favorites.
Exceptional Service
The Hyatt Regency Delhi shines in its commitment to guest satisfaction. I felt warm hospitality, attentiveness and willingness to go above and beyond from staff members more so than at other hotels.
Comfortable Accommodations
Some rooms and suites are recently renovated and offer spacious, modern comfort with touches of traditional Indian decor. I appreciated the attention to detail, comfortable bedding, and views from my room.
Culinary Delights
While we only ate the complimentary breakfast and evening snacks in the lounge thanks to my Globalist status, I was more than impressed with the selection. The hotel also offers diverse dining options, including restaurants like The China Kitchen, La Piazza and TK’s Oriental Grill, which receive high marks for their authentic and delicious cuisine. We enjoyed the Sky Bar for its ambiance, creative cocktails and, especially, panoramic city views.
Price Point
Although cash rates can be high here for Delhi, as a Category 1 property it’s a great value on points costing just 3,500 to 6,500 World of Hyatt points per night.
Club Olympus Spa & Fitness
One thing I love about staying in hotels as a digital nomad is access to a gym and spa. The well-equipped fitness center, complete with personal training options, was fantastic. While I didn’t check out the spa during this trip, it’s a great option to have!
Convenient Location
Situated in Bhikaji Cama Place, the hotel provides easy access to major attractions and transportation hubs.
Hyatt Regency Delhi Drawbacks
Dated Facilities
While rooms have been renovated, some common areas and facilities felt a bit outdated, particularly some bathrooms and public spaces.
Noise Levels
Light sleepers might be bothered by noise from within the hotel (such as echoing hallways or air conditioning units) or from the surrounding area. I didn’t personally notice this during my stay, but read about it in the reviews.
Getting to Hyatt Regency Delhi
The nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), located about 15 kilometers away. Delhi is well-connected globally, with direct flights from major cities in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
To reach the hotel, guests can choose between pre-paid taxis (a 30-45 minute journey depending on traffic), the hotel’s private shuttle service (which can be arranged in advance) or the Delhi Metro’s Airport Express Line followed by a taxi or additional metro ride. We arrived after a long journey while I was getting over a cold, so we elected to take a taxi from the airport.
For convenience, especially for late-night arrivals or those with significant luggage, the hotel shuttle or a pre-paid taxi is a great option.
Check-In

The check-in process at the Hyatt Regency Delhi was efficient and welcoming, providing a smooth start to the stay. Despite arriving after a long journey from Doha and recuperating from a cold, the process was pleasantly quick. The staff confirmed the upgrade to the Regency Suite. They also provided information about lounge access and complimentary breakfast, demonstrating their attentiveness to elite status benefits and ensuring we were well-informed about the amenities available from the outset.
The Room at Hyatt Regency Delhi
The Regency Suite at the Hyatt Regency Delhi spans an impressive 48 square meters (516 square feet). The suite’s design seamlessly blends contemporary furnishings with subtle Indian touches.

We entered the suite in the living area, which provided ample space to relax and work, while the dedicated workspace catered perfectly to digital nomads’ or business travelers’ needs (my boyfriend always claims the desk!). The large windows offer picturesque views of either the hotel’s lush gardens or the inviting swimming pool depending on which side of the hotel you’re on (we had a pool view).

The separate bedroom offers a plush king-sized bed, promising restful nights after long days of exploring.
The suite was well-equipped with modern amenities, including high-speed Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, coffee maker and minibar.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I’m always a fan when there’s a bathtub in my bathroom. | Photo by Charlie Lewis
The luxurious bathroom features premium bath products and a bathtub in addition to a shower, adding an extra touch of indulgence.
One of the standout benefits of the Regency Suite is the access it provides to the exclusive Regency Club Lounge (which I had anyway due to being a Hyatt Globalist), offering complimentary breakfast, evening cocktails, and other perks that elevate the overall stay experience.
While the room views are pleasant, it’s worth noting that the vistas from the Regency Club Lounge are even more impressive, offering a broader perspective of the hotel’s surroundings.
Food and Drink

We regularly spent our evenings in the Regency Club thanks to the delicious food and wine. | Photo by Charlie Lewis
While we didn’t dine at any of the hotel’s restaurants, the Regency Club Lounge proved to be a culinary highlight. The lounge offers complimentary evening snacks accompanied by wine, providing a convenient and satisfying dining option for club-level guests and those with Globalist status (like me!).
The variety of food available in the lounge was impressive and changed each day, with offerings substantial enough to constitute full meals. This amenity added significant value to our stay, because we could more easily catch up on work in between sightseeing without having to go out for every meal.
We had complimentary breakfast included every day, which was equally enjoyable.
Amenities
The Hyatt Regency Delhi boasts a well-equipped gym that caters to fitness enthusiasts of all levels. During our stay, we found the gym to be consistently uncrowded, allowing for comfortable and uninterrupted workout sessions. The range of modern equipment available ensures that guests can maintain their fitness routines while traveling.
Other notable amenities include the Club Olympus Spa, known for its wide range of relaxing treatments and therapies.

The outdoor pool area provides a refreshing retreat from Delhi’s bustling energy, perfect for a leisurely swim or lounging in the sun.
The hotel’s business facilities, including meeting rooms and business center services, cater well to corporate travelers. Meanwhile, the concierge service stands ready to assist with any guest needs, from restaurant recommendations to arranging transportation.
Hyatt Regency Delhi Family Friendliness
While this review is not based on a family stay, the Hyatt Regency Delhi offers numerous features that make it an excellent choice for families traveling with children. The hotel’s commitment to family-friendly accommodations is evident in several key areas:
- Camp Hyatt stands out as a dedicated children’s area, offering supervised activities and entertainment for kids of various ages. This amenity allows parents to enjoy some adult time while knowing their children are engaged in safe and fun activities.
- The spacious rooms and suites, including options for connecting rooms, provide comfortable accommodations for families of all sizes. The outdoor pool area offers a perfect spot for family fun and relaxation.
- For parents seeking some alone time, the hotel offers babysitting services at an additional charge.
- The restaurants cater to younger palates with special children’s menus, ensuring that even the pickiest eaters are satisfied.
Final Thoughts on Hyatt Regency Delhi
The Hyatt Regency Delhi stands out as one of the most enjoyable hotel stays I’ve had, in large part due to the low points price and the selection of evening snacks and wine at the Regency Club. Its location in Bhikaji Cama Place made it super easy to get around the city, making it an ideal base for exploring.
The hotel’s strengths lie in its spacious and well-appointed rooms, particularly the Regency Suites. The Regency Club Lounge, with its complimentary meals and stunning views, also adds significant value to the stay.
