Hey there, points enthusiasts! Bryce here with some game-changing news that’s about to flip the travel rewards world on its head.
Remember when we told you that My10x Redemption Tracker would revolutionize how you plan your award travel? Well, hold onto your boarding passes because we’re taking it to a whole new level with Trip Swap!
What the Heck is Trip Swap?
Trip Swap is our brand new My10x feature that lets you experience a totally random destination by swapping travel plans with another 10xTravel community member—think of it as Wife Swap, but for your carefully planned award bookings!
That’s right. All those hours you spent meticulously planning your dream getaway? With one click, you can throw caution to the wind and trade it for someone else’s travel plans! Who needs predictability when you can have adventure?!
How Does This Pure Travel Magic Work?
- You’re Already In! As part of our rollout, we’ve automatically opted EVERY My10x user into Trip Swap (you’re welcome!)
- One-Click Mayhem! Hit the “SWAP MY TRIP” button and our proprietary algorithm will match you with another traveler heading out around the same time.
- Point-Value Protection™! Our system ensures you’re paired with a trip that costs a similar point value as your own. No need to worry about blowing your hard-earned points on someone else’s Maldives overwater bungalow … unless that’s what you get matched with!

Why Did We Create This Chaos?
Simple! One of the most frequent questions our award booking service gets is: “Can I just tell you how many points I have and you book me a surprise trip?”
Rather than doing that work ourselves, we thought: why not let our community surprise each other instead!
What About Those Pesky Change Fees?
Great question! Since swapping trips means swapping names on itineraries (minor detail, right?), 10xTravel will cover ALL ticket change fees for anyone brave enough to participate in our beta rollout.
That’s potentially thousands of dollars in change fees we’re covering, but hey, what’s money when we’re creating memories? In all seriousness, it’s important to us to put our community first, so this is something small we can do to return the favor of those participating in the program.
The Future of Trip Swap
This is just the beginning, folks! Soon we’ll add preferences so you can specify what kind of random trip you want (beach, city, specific destination, budget) because some people just can’t fully embrace the chaos.
Are You One of the Lucky Few?
To keep things under control (and our legal team somewhat calm), we’ve only rolled this feature out to a select number of My10x users.
CLICK HERE TO LOG IN and see if you’re one of the chosen ones who gets to participate in what will surely be travel’s next big thing!
Remember, in the world of points and miles, sometimes the best award redemption is the one you never planned for yourself!
Disclaimer: No marriages were harmed in the creation of this feature. Your spouse/partner’s reaction to suddenly going to Cleveland instead of Cabo is entirely your responsibility.
New to the world of points and miles? The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is the best card to start with.
