Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club locations will leave the Priority Pass and LoungeKey networks on Aug. 15, 2026. After that date, travelers will no longer be able to enter a Sapphire Lounge using either program. This eliminates the current benefit that allows Priority Pass and LoungeKey members to receive one complimentary Sapphire Lounge visit per calendar year, subject to availability, and purchase additional visits for $75.

The change does not affect lounge access for eligible Chase cardholders. Cardholders with the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠, J.P. Morgan Reserve Card or Ritz-Carlton™ Credit Card will continue to receive unlimited complimentary Sapphire Lounge access, with up to two guests per visit and children under age 2 included. Eligible Chase cards will also continue to provide Priority Pass Select membership for participating lounges outside the Sapphire Lounge network. Beginning Aug. 15, cardholders with connecting itineraries can enter a Sapphire Lounge up to five hours before their connecting flight, while the three-hour entry window remains in place before an initial or nonstop flight.

Our Take

This is a meaningful devaluation for travelers who receive Priority Pass through cards issued by American Express, Capital One or another bank. A Priority Pass membership will still provide access to its broader network, but it will no longer serve as a once-per-year entry point into Chase Sapphire Lounges. Use any remaining annual visit before Aug. 15, 2026, particularly if an upcoming trip takes you through an airport with a Sapphire Lounge.

For Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders, the change could improve the lounge experience by reducing demand from travelers without an eligible Chase card. The expanded five-hour access window during connections is also a practical improvement for longer layovers. Still, lounge access alone should not determine whether you pay for a premium travel card. Compare the airports you use most, the card’s annual fee and its broader travel benefits before deciding whether Sapphire Lounge access delivers enough real-world value for your travel strategy.
