Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders can now get a free 5,000-point Aeroplan flight certificate. All you need to do is register online here with your name, Aeroplan number, and the last four digits of your card. This offer is only for primary cardholders, not authorized users. You must sign up by August 18, and the certificate will be good for 365 days after it’s added to your account.
The flight certificate works like a discount on your next Aeroplan booking. You can use it for new bookings on Air Canada or its partner airlines. While you can’t split the value between different people or transfer it to another account, you can use it when booking travel for someone else with your points. If you cancel a ticket booked with this certificate, the points will go back to your account with the same expiration date.

Our Take
This is a great deal that takes almost no effort to get. The 5,000-point certificate is worth about $70, which is a nice bonus just for having a card you already own. For anyone with travel plans in the next year, this is basically free money on the table.
Our favorite way to use this certificate would be for short flights under 500 miles on United or Air Canada, which normally cost 6,000 points. With this certificate, you’d only need 1,000 additional points. Chase, American Express, Capital One and Bilt points transfer to Aeroplan at a 1:1 ratio, making this an easy way to stretch your points further. Don’t miss this simple opportunity to save on your next award flight.
