Our Take
The JetBlue Plus Card offers targeted benefits for travelers loyal to JetBlue. While the card provides enhanced earning rates with 6X points per dollar spent on JetBlue purchases, 2X points at restaurants and grocery stores, and 1X points on all other purchases, its overall value proposition depends largely on your frequency of JetBlue travel. The card’s benefits include practical perks such as a free checked bag on JetBlue flights and 5,000 bonus points annually on your cardholder anniversary.
As a co-branded airline card issued by Barclays, this card represents a reasonable option for dedicated JetBlue customers, but comes with important limitations to consider. JetBlue’s route network doesn’t service large portions of the U.S. and offers very few international destinations, potentially limiting the card’s utility for travelers requiring broader coverage. For those who frequently fly JetBlue’s routes, the free checked bag benefit and anniversary points can provide tangible value and make up for the annual fee, but travelers seeking more flexible rewards might find other travel cards more appealing.
