The Edit by Chase Travel credit is doubling
First the good news, starting January 1, 2027, the annual statement credit for stays booked through The Edit by Chase Travel increases from $500 to $1,000 per year. That is structured as four statement credits of up to $250 each, up from two. If you already book The Edit properties through Chase Travel, this is straightforward added value with no change in behavior required.
The 3X advertising category is getting capped for the first time
This is the change that matters more, and it is not the upgrade the framing suggests. Effective November 15, 2026, cardmembers will earn 3X points on social media and search engine advertising, but only on the first $1 million spent per account anniversary year. Once you cross that threshold, the rate drops to 1X, with no maximum spend beyond it.
Until now, that 3X category was uncapped. For a business spending under $1 million a year on social and search ads, nothing changes and we don’t expect this to affect most cardholders, but for high-spend businesses spending more than that, this is a reduction in earning rate on every dollar past the cap.

Our Take
The increased hotel credit adds real value. We also expect the ability to do back to back bookings to use The Edit credits more effectively to continue. The improvement is not flashy, but it does add some value to the card to justify holding it year over year with the high annual fee. For our high-spend business owners, the cap on 3X social media advertising spend is going to be a real blow though.
