Exotic Escape Economy Fare November 2025

Finding saver award fare to the Maldives for the entire family can be quite tricky, luckily, we’ve done the hard work for you! For the outbound flight, we found saver fare on Virgin Atlantic from both East Coast and West Coast airports to the Maldives with confirmed availability for at least 4 seats throughout the entire month of November. Virgin Atlantic flights depart from JFK, BOS, ATL, MIA, IAD, LAX, SFO, and SEA for as low as 13,500 points from the East Coast, and as low as 16,500 points from West Coast airports. All flights connect in LHR and continue on to MLE. Taxes and fees per person are $181.

Return flights can be booked on either American Airlines or Alaska Airlines website, with wide availability on partner airlines into most major airports across the US (JFK, BOS, IAD, ATL, DFW, MCO, MIA, ORD, LAX, SFO, and SEA). While we looked at availability through most major airports, you should also check the route from MLE into your home airport on each website as it may show up for the same fare or slightly more. Flights booked through American Airlines are 40,000 miles with taxes and fees ranging from $132-$161. Flights booked through Alaska Airlines are 42,500 miles with taxes and fees costing $168 per person.

There is currently a 30% transfer bonus from Cit ThankYou Rewards to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club until May 17, 2025. To calculate the number of points needed to transfer with the bonus, divide the total number of points required for the redemption by 1.3.

While direct transfers from AMEX to Alaska Airlines aren’t available, you can transfer points to Hawaiian Airlines and then move those miles to Alaska Airlines.
