The Big Picture
We found availability to Europe this spring and summer (April through September 2026) for as cheap as 50,000 points per person non-stop in business. This is flying star alliance carriers (Lufthansa, SWISS, Discover, Brussels) and booking through Air Canada (or other Star Alliance partners like Avianca or ANA for example) with routes between BOS, EWR, IAD, JFK, PHL and Frankfurt (FRA), Munich (MUC), Zurich (ZRH), Geneva (GVA), and Brussels (BRU). If the departure airports listed are not your final destinations, you may be able to replace MUC/ FRA/ ZRH/ GVA/ BRU with another European location for a similar price (or self-connect as you please). Similarly, if the departure airports listed is not your home airport, you may be able to find similar fares from your closest United hub.
Examples of routes (priced 60,000 per person, one way if booking through Air Canada):
- BOS, EWR, JFK, PHL to/from FRA
- BOS, EWR, JFK to/from ZRH
- BOS to/from MUC
- JFK to/from GVA, BRU
- IAD to/from BRU
If you have Chase points, this deal just became even sweeter as there is a 20% transfer bonus to Air Canada through May 5, lowering the price to 50,000 per person, one way! If you are using Citi points, there is also a transfer bonus through April 18 to Avianca, bringing the price from 69,000 per person down to 56,000 per person, one way. The best price using AMEX points would be booking through ANA for 50,000 per person, one way (although it would be slightly more risky as it can take a few days for your points to post).
Keep in mind you can add a stopover on each one-way or round trip ticket through Air Canada for as little as 5k extra per person if you are interested in another destination within Europe.
All of the dates below have confirmed availability for at least 2 passengers with multiple seats available on many dates. Expect taxes to be ~$60 per person outbound and ~$115-220 per person returning.
