Singapore Airlines is known for offering some of the best premium-cabin products in the airline industry year after year. And, in 2024, Singapore Airlines was ranked as the world’s second-best business-class airline by Skytrax. On Singapore Airlines’ long-haul flights, the business-class cabin includes fabulous amenities like an ultra-comfortable lie-flat bed, world-class meals paired with complimentary champagne or wine, an 18-inch entertainment monitor paired with noise-canceling headphones and more.

However, because of the high level of luxury offered in Singapore Airlines’ business class, cash prices for these business-class tickets are rather high, putting the Singapore Airlines business-class experience out of many travelers’ budgets. However, through certain frequent flyer programs, you can book Singapore Airlines business-class flights at a very low out-of-pocket cost by using points or miles.

In this article, we’ll look at some of the best ways to book Singapore Airlines business-class flights with points or miles. We’ll also look at what you can expect when flying in business class on each type of aircraft in the Singapore Airlines fleet.

What to Expect in Singapore Airlines Business Class

The Skytrax award that Singapore Airlines won for having the second-best business class in the world was based on the business-class cabins throughout its entire fleet. So, no matter what type of Singapore Airlines aircraft you’re flying on, you can expect a high level of luxury in business class. However, on each different aircraft type in the fleet, you get a slightly different business-class product.

The best business class in the Singapore Airlines fleet can be found on Airbus A380 aircraft, which are used exclusively for long-haul flights. Every seat in this business-class cabin is made of hand-stitched full-grain leather by Poltrona Frau. The seats recline into fully flat beds at the push of a button. There’s also a center divider that can be raised for maximum privacy or lowered to create a shared space with whoever is sitting next to you. Each seat has an 18-inch high-definition personal entertainment monitor with over 1,000 entertainment options.

The next-best business-class products can be found on long-haul flights aboard Singapore Airlines Airbus A350 and Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft. On these flights, business-class passengers can expect diamond-stitched seats made of Scottish leather that recline into fully flat beds, an 18-inch high-definition personal entertainment monitor with noise-cancelling headphones, plenty of storage space and more.

It’s worth noting that Airbus A350 and Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft are occasionally used to operate regional flights, and the business-class products aboard those regional flights are slightly less impressive than on long-haul flights. However, you’ll still have a lie-flat bed and an HD personal entertainment monitor, even on these regional flights.

The Singapore Airlines fleet also includes Boeing 737-8 aircraft, which are exclusively used to operate regional flights. Even on these regional flights, you’ll enjoy a comfortable seat that reclines into a fully flat bed that’s over six feet long. You’ll also have a personal HD touchscreen entertainment monitor and a headset that will be provided to you on board.

The least impressive business-class product in the Singapore Airlines Fleet is on Boeing 737-800NG aircraft. These aircraft are only used for short-haul flights. So, although they don’t provide a very high level of luxury, you’ll only be on them for a short time. The business class-cabin on these aircraft still includes ergonomically designed leather seats that recline up to eight inches. And, though there are no in-seat monitors, you will be provided an entertainment tablet with a curated selection of movies, TV shows and music. Unfortunately, Wi-Fi is not available on these aircraft.

No matter which type of aircraft you’re flying on, you’ll enjoy delicious meals ordered through the Book the Cook menu, which includes creations from world-class chefs from the Singapore Airlines International Culinary Panel. Main course lunch and dinner options include pan-seared stone bass fillet, braised beef short rib, stir-fried scallops and stir-fried minced lamb. There are also vegetarian and vegan options available upon request.

Singapore Airlines business-class passengers will also receive complimentary beverages from the beverage menu, which includes a selection of champagnes, red wines, white wines, spirits, cocktails, beers and more.

When arriving on board, business-class passengers will also receive an amenity kit containing hand pomade, lip balm and facial mist, all designed in collaboration with New York-based perfumery Le Labo Fragrances.

And, of course, your business-class experience will begin before you even board your flight, as Singapore Airlines business-class passengers have access to designated fast-track check-in and to SilverKris Business Lounges, where available, as well as Star Alliance partner lounges. Best Programs Through Which to Book Singapore Airlines Business Class

Because Singapore Airlines is a member of Star Alliance, there are several Star Alliance frequent flyer programs through which you can book Singapore Airlines award flights. However, because the airline offers one of the best business-class products in the world, Singapore Airlines business-class award availability is very hard to find through most programs. By knowing where to look, you can increase your chances of finding Singapore Airlines business-class award availability on your desired route.

In the following sections, we’ll identify some of the frequent flyer programs through which you’re most likely to find Singapore Airlines business-class award availability. We’ll discuss whether you can earn miles through these programs by transferring credit card points or spending on co-branded credit cards, which are the easiest ways to earn frequent flyer miles.

Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer

Generally, your best bet for finding Singapore Airlines business class awards is going to be Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer, the airline’s own frequent flyer program. While you may be able to find better rates for Singapore Airlines business-class awards through certain partner programs (which we’ll discuss in later sections), it can be very difficult and time-consuming to find award space on certain routes through these programs. Plus, you can still get fantastic value per mile by booking these flights through the KrisFlyer program, especially if you can find Saver awards.

Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer offers two different award types: Saver and Advantage. Saver awards require fewer miles and have less availability. Advantage awards require more miles and have greater availability. So, if you can, you should try to book a Saver award. However, you can still find incredible value when booking either kind of award in Singapore Airlines’ business class. (Note that both Saver and Advantage award rates are increasing Nov 1, 2025.)

We found a Saver award for a round-trip Singapore Airlines business-class itinerary between San Francisco (SFO) and Singapore (SIN) for 214,000 miles and about $72 in taxes and fees.

If you were to book these same flights on the same dates, it would cost about $7,122 through the Singapore Airlines website.

So, considering the taxes and fees you’d have to pay for the award flight, this redemption would give you a value of about 3.3 cents per mile, which is excellent.

Even if you were to book a similar award itinerary at the Advantage rate, it would still yield decent value per mile. For example, we found an Advantage award itinerary for Singapore Airlines business-class flights between San Francisco (SFO) and Singapore (SIN) for 257,000 miles plus about $72 in taxes and fees.

The same flights booked with cash through the Singapore Airlines website would cost you about $5,213.

This redemption would give you a value of about 2 cents per mile, which is decent for a business-class redemption.

So, if you’re willing to spend some time searching, you may be able to find higher value for Singapore Airlines business-class flights through another frequent flyer program. However, if you’re willing to settle for decent value, you can consistently find Singapore Airlines business-class availability through the KrisFlyer program.

It’s easy for U.S. citizens to earn KrisFlyer miles because the KrisFlyer program is a transfer partner of many of the major U.S. credit card rewards programs, including American Express Membership Rewards, Brex, Capital One Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards and Citi ThankYou Rewards. You can transfer points from any of these programs at a 1:1 ratio and receive the same amount of miles in your KrisFlyer account, often within minutes.

Air Canada Aeroplan

You can also find Singapore Airlines business-class award flights at favorable rates through the Air Canada Aeroplan. However, long-haul Singapore Airlines business-class award tickets are nearly impossible to find through the Aeroplan program, as their availability is extremely limited and books up almost immediately. Users have reported finding intercontinental Singapore Airlines business-class award flights through Aeroplan, but we couldn’t find any after extensive searching.

You can, however, routinely find Singapore Airlines business-class award availability on short- and medium-haul flights. Awards on these routes tend to provide decent value per point.

For example, we found a round-trip Singapore Airlines business-class award flight itinerary between Singapore (SIN) and Bangkok (BKK) for 40,000 Aeroplan points and about 142 Canadian Dollars (about $102).

If you were to purchase the same flights on the same dates through the Singapore Airlines website, it would cost about 1,128 Singapore dollars (about $855).

So, by purchasing this flight with Aeroplan points instead of cash, factoring in the taxes and fees you’d have to pay for the award flight, you’d be getting a value of about 1.9 cents per point, which is decent for a short-haul business-class flight.

The Air Canada Aeroplan program is a 1:1 transfer partner of several major U.S. credit card rewards programs, including American Express Membership Rewards, Bilt Rewards, Capital One Rewards and Chase Ultimate Rewards.

Another way to earn Aeroplan points quickly is to sign up for the Aeroplan® Credit Card, which is issued by Chase and is available to U.S. consumers. With this card, you could quickly rack up enough points to purchase a Singapore Airlines business-class award flight.

The Bottom Line

When flying in Singapore Airlines business class, you can expect the highest level of luxury and customer service. All long-haul business-class passengers will enjoy fine leather seats that recline into lie-flat beds as well as high-definition entertainment monitors. Business-class passengers on all Singapore Airlines flights will also have access to delicious meals designed by world-class chefs, as well as complimentary wine, beer, champagne, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages. Plus, business-class passengers flying out of Singapore Changi Airport can wait for their flight at the SilverKris Business Lounge there, which was voted the second-best airport lounge in the world by Skytrax in 2024.

However, because Singapore Airlines business class has become such a desirable product, it’s very difficult to find availability through partner frequent flyer programs. So, if you want to book a Singapore Airlines business-class flight with miles, you’ll probably want to do so through the Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer program, especially if you’re looking to book a long-haul flight. Luckily, rates for Singapore Airlines business-class awards are fairly reasonable through the KrisFlyer program and typically provide good value per mile.

If you’re looking to book a short- or medium-haul Singapore Airlines business-class award, you may be able to find a good rate through the Air Canada Aeroplan program. However, long-haul Singapore Airlines business-class awards are nearly impossible to find through this program.
