The content within our free online course has recently been substantially updated with a more cohesive flow and more narrative-driven approach. We’ve added 100+ additional graphics to make the material much more digestible for people with different learning styles, added a Key Takeaways section to the end of each section and much more.
Not just that, but the updated course has been relaunched as a part of our free points and miles management tool, My10x. That means that users of both resources will now only need a single login to access both the course and My10x, making it easier to apply lessons learned in the course to your own real-world credit card strategy.
If you’re unfamiliar with these tools, our free course is an educational resource that teaches people about the ins and outs of using frequent flyer miles for travel rewards like free flights, nice hotels, and other luxuries. With the course, anyone can quickly learn how to save big on their next trip, changing the way they travel for the better. Previously, this course was more of a standalone resource. However, recently, the course has been integrated into My10x. My10x is a free tool that allows you to manage all of your credit cards in one place.
In this article, we’re going to take a look at the improvements that have been made to the course, discuss how we’ve integrated it into My10x, talk about some of the key features of My10x and how to sign up for a free My10x account so you can access all its features including the course.
10xTravel Course Is Now Updated and Better Than Ever
The new-and-improved version of the 10xTravel course has a much greater focus on understandability and storytelling. Here are a few key changes we’ve made:
- The course now focuses on having a teaching tactic of “gradually increasing complexity,” slowly building on concepts in a more linear way to avoid quickly overwhelming you with overly-complex information.
- We’ve added over 100 additional graphics, which make concepts and lessons much more digestible (especially if you’re a visual learner). In many cases, you can pick up on the key concepts even without reading any of the written text. This also makes it much easier to quickly review sections and pick up on the key ideas.
- At the end of each section of the course, there’s a “Key Takeaways” list that helps you recap all of the concepts covered in that section. Then, at the end of the course, there’s a chapter that contains all of the “Key Takeaways” from the entire course, allowing you to easily review the concepts of the course from a bird’s-eye view.
- The course has been adjusted to have a greater emphasis on the overall learning journey by addressing common psychological barriers and sticking points that we have learned after teaching this for 10+ years. We’ve better acknowledged and addressed common concerns and assumptions that hold people back.
- We’ve removed and consolidated many sections of the course to eliminate low-value content and ultimately create a shorter course than the old one. It’s more of what you need to know, less of what you don’t.
- We added many new analogies and simplified explanations to make the material more intuitive and easier to understand.
With these changes, the course is now more well-equipped than ever to help you create the perfect credit card strategy and, ultimately, help you realize your travel dreams using points and miles.
Our Free Course Is Now Integrated with My10x
Another major update for the course is that it’s now been integrated into My10x. That means that both of these resources can be accessed with a single login and will both be available in a single portal.
This will make it easier for members to use both resources in conjunction. Thus, you can quickly switch between the course and other sections of My10x, allowing you to take lessons from the course and then apply them to your own credit card strategy. Or, if you have questions about your credit card strategy while in the My10x portal, you can quickly reference the course and answer those questions.
Other Key Features of My10x
Through My10xl, you can load all of your credit cards and manage them easily, track all of your rewards points and mile balances in one place, stay on top of your credit score, get recommendations for your next credit card and more.
Let’s take a brief look at some of the key features of My10x.
My Wallet
My10x allows you to load all of the credit cards that you currently have and will provide you with important information such as your eligibility for new card offers, your Chase 5/24 status and more. You can securely connect your accounts and have My10x track your points and miles balances automatically or enter your balances manually.
My Points
The My Points tool allows users to view all of their points and miles balances in one place. You can choose either to link your credit card account to My10x (using bank-level encryption to protect your data) or you can enter your points and miles balances manually (which means you’ll never have to link an account). If you elect not to link your accounts, we’ll send you reminders from time to time to update your information.
My Credit Score
One of the most important things to building a good credit card strategy is to stay on top of your credit score. For that reason, My10x allows you to input your FICO score and will provide helpful suggestions to either improve your score or keep it at a healthy level.
My Next Card
The My Next Card feature of My10x will make recommendations about what your next credit card should be. Using proprietary technology, the My Next Card tool will analyze your current credit cards, your points and miles balances, your credit score and your eligibility and will suggest the best possible credit card to add to your wallet based on that information. With just one click, you can find the perfect card to complement your current credit card strategy.
2 Player Mode
With the 2 Player Mode feature, you can request to link your My10x account with another user, allowing you to analyze and build your points and miles strategies together. And, if you have other friends or family members that you want to link to your My10x account, you can also share 2 Player Mode with more than two people.
Companion Pass Mode
My10x offers a feature called Companion Pass Mode that will guide you through the process of earning the Southwest Companion Pass, one of the best benefits in the entire airline industry. This perk allows you to bring a companion on any Southwest Airlines flight for just the cost of taxes and fees. With My10x Companion Pass Mode, you’ll receive automated notifications and reminders that’ll help you get closer to earning the Companion Pass perk.
