Our Take

The U.S. Bank Business Leverage® Visa Signature® Card offers a flexible rewards structure designed to adapt to your business spending patterns. It automatically earns 2% cash back in your top two spending categories each month, with 1% back on all other eligible purchases. For businesses with varying expenses throughout the year, this automatic category adjustment can be particularly valuable, as you’ll always maximize rewards in your current highest-spend areas without having to think about it. The card also features enhanced 5% cash back on prepaid hotels and car rentals when booked through their Rewards Center.

While the card provides decent earning potential with no caps on total rewards and multiple redemption options including statement credits, merchandise, and travel bookings, it falls short when compared to premium business cards from competitors. Unlike cards that earn Chase Ultimate Rewards, American Express Membership Rewards, or Capital One Miles, U.S. Bank lacks transfer partners to airlines and hotels, significantly limiting the potential value for frequent business travelers. For businesses prioritizing flexibility to transfer points to travel partners for potentially higher value redemptions, alternative business credit cards with transferable points currencies would generally provide better overall value despite this card’s adaptive earning structure.
