Hi Travel Junkies,
Unless you have been on a digital detox retreat for the past month or so you are probably aware of the fact that the world has seemingly turned upside down by the COVID-19 virus.
Thousands have been infected (including Tom Hanks), toilet paper has become the new world currency, and everyone is being encouraged to practice this new thing called #SocialDistancing to prevent the spread of the virus.
These, of course, are all very serious matters. And we at 10xTravel encourage you to follow all of the recommended guidelines to do your part in preventing the spread of this virus.
This situation has also created a new reality for many in which they are stuck at home with little else to do but hang out on the internet. Including many of us on the 10xT Staff.
But we think this presents an opportunity to have a little fun and try to make light of an otherwise tough situation. Which is why we are thrilled to announce the launch of a new (hopefully very limited time) content series called Social Distancing Saturday.
Here’s a quick video with the basics.
Each Saturday we will sharing ideas for how to pass the time when you are stuck at home and unable to travel or socialize with your friends.
These ideas will be totally random, with many of them sourced from the 10xTravel Insider’s Facebook Group.
There will be no direct connection to points & miles, we just want to help all of you get through this difficult time (and try to have some fun with it).
Please share any ideas you have for this series in the comments! Can’t wait to see what you all come up with.
Tomorrow we will be launching the first installment of this series, “The Best Bingeable Shows on Netflix Right Now” according to our Facebook insiders.
We hope that this new series will bring some joy to everyone in a time where it is much needed.
Happy Travels,
Bryce
P.S. Pro tip, the best time to film videos of yourself is when you are just back from Hawaii and still rocking a new tan.
P.P.S. If you’re looking to socialize online there is no better place to do so than the 10xTravel Insider’s Facebook Group. Check it out, I promise you’ll love it.
