The My10x platform was created by travelers for travelers. When we rolled out this product, our aim was to create an all-in-one platform where award travel enthusiasts could track their cards and benefits, optimize their points-earning strategies, find airport lounges, record their past redemptions and much more.

Now, we’re proud to announce a major improvement to our redemption tracker tool, which is only available with a premium 10xTravel+ subscription. Rather than inputting redemption information manually, 10xTravel+ members can forward confirmation emails to their account and the information about that redemption will be automatically pulled. This makes the experience of using the redemption tracker tool much more frictionless and less time-consuming.

What the Redemption Tracker Does and What Changed

If you’re already a My10x user, then you’re probably familiar with the redemption tracker tool, one of many helpful tools available with a free My10x account. This tool allows you to track your past redemptions by entering information about your trip and then adding individual redemptions to that trip, such as hotel free night stays, award flights, rental cars and more.

This tool is great for reminiscing on past experiences and for sharing your high-value redemptions with other award travel enthusiasts (by creating a public link and sending it to friends and family). The redemption tracker tool will also give you the value per point of each of your redemptions to help you inform future redemption decisions.

However, admittedly, manually entering each redemption can take a long time. And, for those with busy schedules, it may be worth paying a small monthly fee to significantly speed this process along.

With the $10 per month 10xTravel+ subscription, you’ll have the ability to create redemptions just by sending the confirmation email for that redemption to redemptions@10xtravel.com (from the email associated with your 10xTravel+ account). Then, a redemption will be automatically created and added to your trip without you having to lift a finger.

Why Most Points Travelers Have No Idea What Their Redemptions Are Worth

While many 10xTravel readers have used the information and resources that we provide to achieve high-value dream travel redemptions, very few have an actual record of what their points and miles have done for them. Having a concise record of the ways that you’ve used your rewards allows you to remember those experiences, make smarter decisions with your points and miles in the future and share your knowledge with other travelers.

For example, let’s say that you booked a business-class award flight from New York to Paris for 85,000 miles and that the real-world cash price of that same flight would have been $2,000. The My10x redemption tracker tool would calculate that the value of that redemption would be about 2.4 cents per point.

Now that this redemption is recorded, you can share it with other award travel enthusiasts. Once you do so, you’ll probably be congratulated on your trip. However, you may also be informed that you can often find Flying Blue business-class redemptions from the U.S. to Europe that offer significantly more value per point.

Through this process, you’ve both shared your journey with other avid travelers and you’ve increased your knowledge. Thus, next time you go to book a business-class award across the Atlantic, you know to look for higher-value awards.

The Gap Between Points Earned and Redemptions Remembered

Most award travel enthusiasts diligently earn points through any means possible, including crediting paid flights and hotel stays, spending on credit cards, earning credit card welcome offers, referring friends and family and much more. However, once those points are redeemed, the only record of all that hard work is a confirmation email buried deep in your trash folder.

With 10xTravel+, you can quickly turn that confirmation email into a clean and reviewable record of your past redemptions.

What a Clean Redemption Record Actually Tells You

Once you’ve been using our redemption tracker tool for a while, in your account, you’ll find a record of your redemptions organized by trip. For instance, all your hotel and flight redemptions from your trip to Thailand in 2025 can be added to a single trip.

You’ll also be able to see the number of points and cash spent on each redemption as well as the number of points and cash spent on the entire trip. Likewise, you’ll be able to see the value per point of each redemption and the credit card that you used for that redemption.

If you like, you can also add photos to each redemption as well as for the whole trip to help jog your memory or look back fondly on your amazing experiences.

How the Redemption Tracker Works: Free vs. 10xTravel+

To clarify, with a free My10x account, you can log as many redemptions in your redemption tracker as you want. You also can log all of the same information about your redemption as a 10xTravel+ user can. The difference is the amount of time it will take you to log these redemptions.

The following chart includes the features of the redemption tracker tool and how they work with both a free My10x account and a paid 10xTravel+ subscription:

As you can see, upgrading to a 10xTravel+ subscription will save you time and the hassle of trying to track down your trip details.

10xTravel+ Members: The Email Parser Changes Everything

As you may have noticed from the table above, the main advantage of 10xTravel+ over My10x regarding the redemption tracker tool is the email parser. With this ability, you can simply forward your confirmation email for your redemption (whether it be from Capital One, Chase, Atmos Rewards, Choice Privileges or any other loyalty program) and the details of your redemption will automatically appear in your account. Entering these details manually can take up to 10 minutes. However, forwarding your confirmation email should only take you a matter of seconds.

And, for those with particularly busy schedules, those 10 minutes per redemption saved are enough to justify the monthly cost of 10xTravel+ (not to mention the other helpful additional features included with this premium subscription, such as the best card by category tool).

What the Auto-Import Actually Captures

The email parser included with 10xTravel+ is able to pull all relevant information about your redemption from confirmation emails, including the points redeemed, any additional cash costs, your travel dates, the airline or hotel you’re redeeming with and more.

However, this tool occasionally will not be able to sort your redemption by trip on its own. For example, if you forward the confirmation email from your award flight to Portugal but you haven’t yet created a “Portugal” trip in your 10xTravel+ account yet, then the email parser won’t know where to file that redemption. In this case, you can simply navigate to the “Unfiled redemptions” folder in the My Trips section of your account and manually add those redemptions to a trip.

There are other times when the email parser won’t be able to pull every relevant detail of your redemption. In these cases, you can simply add these details manually. In particular, this tool typically won’t be able to calculate the comparable cash price of a redemption (which is used to calculate value per point), so you’ll need to enter this detail manually most of the time.

Sharing Your Redemptions: Showing What’s Actually Possible

In addition to simply recording your redemptions, members at both the My10x and 10xTravel+ tiers can share their redemptions with friends, family and other 10xTravel community members. In this way, you can inspire other travelers as well as learn from redemptions that other travelers share with you. All in all, this feature is all about increasing community knowledge.

The redemption tracker also couples extremely well with the new 10xTravel Community where you can see other 10xTravel member redemptions, share your own redemptions (by copying a link directly from the redemption tracker tool) and get feedback on your use of points and miles.

Why Real Redemptions Are More Persuasive Than Anything We Could Write

Of course, if you’ve been reading our 10xTravel blog, you know that many of our articles contain redemption examples. Our writers diligently search for high-value award sweet spots and make sure that those awards are actually bookable.

However, these examples in our blog posts are no replacement for the real-world examples you’ll find from community members that use our redemption tracker tool and post their trips either in our Facebook community or in our new 10xTravel Community feature.

These real-world travelers can give you information on how smooth the check-in process was, whether all of their elite status benefits were honored, whether they were sent reminders about upcoming travel and other aspects of award travel that our writers simply can’t ascertain. So, if you want the best possible idea of what an award redemption will really be like, you’ll find it in our community of 10xTravel members sharing their redemptions.

Your Award Bookings Deserve a Better Record Than Your Inbox

Most award travelers are probably currently in one of the two following positions:

  • They have no solid record of their past redemptions (just scattered confirmation emails in their trash folder).
  • If they do have a clean record of their past redemptions, they spend a lot of time to upkeep it.

With a 10xTravel+ subscription, you can pull redemption information automatically from your confirmation emails. This means that you can maintain an organized redemption record with minimal time and effort.

For $10 per month, you can access this email parser tool for your My10x redemption tracker as well as a whole suite of other helpful 10xTravel+ tools, including a credit and benefit tracker, a best card by category tool, increased award alerts and access to the all-new 10xTravel+ Community platform.

Of course, if you’re unsure about upgrading to our premium subscription, we encourage you to try out the free My10x platform, which also includes plentiful tools to help you maximize your award travel strategy.
