Since its introduction, the My10x platform has helped countless travelers optimize their credit card strategies. Now, we’re excited to announce that users will have the option to upgrade to a premium, new-and-improved 10xTravel+ subscription and gain access to even more powerful tools to help you unlock even more award travel value.

One of the new features available with a 10xTravel+ subscription is credit card benefits tracking. This feature ensures that you can extract the most value possible out of each benefit on each of your cards.

What Changed and Why It Matters

While the free My10x platform includes great features for keeping track of the cards in your wallet, you can gain a better understanding of how to maximize your credit card benefits by upgrading to 10xTravel+.

My10x gives users the ability to input all of your credit cards in the “My Wallet” section. Then, by clicking on a card, you can quickly view a summary of that card’s benefits, including spending bonuses, statement credits, lounge access and more.

If you navigate to the “My Benefits” page, you’ll find a breakdown by card of which benefits have been used and which ones remain available. For instance, this feature might remind you that you’ve already used all of your Uber credits for the month or it might remind you that your annual hotel statement credit is still available.

With the free My10x tool, you can track the benefits for only one credit card from your My Wallet section. However, by upgrading to 10xTravel+, users will be able to track benefits for an unlimited number of credit cards.

The Real Cost of Not Tracking Your Card Benefits

For just $10 per month, My10x users can upgrade to 10xTravel+ and gain complete control over their credit card benefits. If you have several credit cards, this subscription cost will pay for itself several times over because, when you forget to use your credit card benefits, you’re leaving value on the table.

If your 10xTravel+ subscription reminds you to use just one $100 statement credit that you would have otherwise forgotten, then you’ve already offset your subscription cost for 10 months. Then, with all of the other benefits you’ll remember to use with the help of 10xTravel+, you’ll start seeing serious value. And that’s just from the Credit & Benefit Tracker feature alone.

How Many Cards Does the Average Rewards Traveler Actually Hold?

The average U.S. consumer currently has between three and four open credit card accounts. And 10xTravel readers, who are passionate about award travel and credit card rewards, almost certainly have more credit cards than the average U.S. consumer.

When each of these credit cards has its own set of benefits, it can be a tall task to keep track of these benefits and ensure that you’re using them to their maximum potential. In fact, most credit card users don’t use the majority of the benefits available to them. It’s time to reclaim that value.

For example, let’s say that the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and the Citi Strata Elite℠ Card were two of the cards in your wallet. With the Sapphire Preferred Card, you could easily overlook its complimentary DoorDash DashPass membership benefit. This is a value of about $120 annually that you’d be missing out on.

With the Strata Elite Card, you could easily overlook the $200 Annual Splurge Credit℠ benefit, which applies to eligible purchases with up to 2 of the following brands: 1stDibs, American Airlines, Best Buy, Future Personal Training and Live Nation. This benefit as well, while easily forgotten, can provide a lot of value.

The Credits Most Likely to Go Unused — and What They’re Worth

While credit card spending bonuses are triggered automatically when you make a qualifying purchase, statement credits and other benefits are more likely to go unused. Here are some examples of the types of credits and benefits that cardholders tend to forget about:

  • Up to $300 annual statement credits for StubHub and viagogo purchases (included with the Chase Sapphire Reserve®) Get up to $150 in statement credits from January through June and again from July through December for a maximum of $300 annually for StubHub and viagogo purchases through 12/31/27. Activation required
  • Up to $100 quarterly statement credits (up to $400 annually) at eligible U.S. Resy restaurants (included with the American Express Platinum Card®)
  • Up to $5 monthly statement credits (up to $60 annually) on eligible rideshare purchases (included with the United℠ Explorer Card)
  • Complimentary access to The Centurion® Lounge and American Express Escape lounges when you book a Delta flight with your card (included with Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card)

As you can see, these benefits can amount to a lot of value. And, without 10xTravel+, these benefits might slip your mind, causing you to miss out on lots of value.

What the Credit & Benefit Tracker Actually Does

The Credit & Benefit Tracker tool included with both a My10x free account (for one card) and a premium 10xTravel+ subscription (for unlimited cards) serves two essential functions:

  • Helping you track which cards are in your wallet (as well as other features like annual fees and credit limits).
  • Tracking which benefits of each card have been used and which ones remain unused.

The process of utilizing these tools begins with either entering your card details manually or linking your credit accounts by entering your bank credentials. My10x is partnered with MX Technologies, a leading Saas company in the financial technology space, to allow you the option to securely connect to supported financial institutions. MX works with over 2,000 banks, credit unions, fintechs and more to offer secure connections to financial institutions and data. Plus, bank credentials are never stored by 10xTravel and bank data is never sold to third parties. So, you can feel confident that your bank details are secure.

Once a card is entered (along with applicable data such as the date it was opened and the welcome bonus), it will appear in the My Wallet section of your My10x account. If you want to keep track of which active cards you have in your wallet and the annual fees that you’re paying, this is the place to do so.

However, if you navigate to the My Benefits section of your account portal, you’ll find that the benefits of the cards you’ve entered are listed. You’ll also see the total potential annual value you can get from the benefits across all of your cards, the value you’ve actually gotten out of your benefits this year and the percentage of your total potential benefit value that you’ve actually utilized.

Below that, you’ll find a list of each individual benefit offered by all of your cards (in order of decreasing value by default). For each benefit, you’ll see how much of its value you’ve already used as well as how long you have until that benefit expires.

Free Tier vs. 10xTravel+ Member: What You Actually Get

The main difference between a free My10x account and a paid 10xTravel+ subscription regarding the Credit & Benefit Tracker is that 10xTravel+ members are able to track benefits across all of their cards rather than just one card.

The following table shows a comparison of the card and benefit tracking capabilities of My10x and 10xTravel+

FeatureMy10x10xTravel+

Benefit tracking for one cardYesYes
Benefit tracking for unlimited cardsNoYes

As you can see, 10xTravel+ offers greater benefit tracking ability than both of the other products. And that additional ability could help you recapture a lot of value that you’re currently missing out on.

Which Cards and Benefits Are Currently Supported

My10x and 10xTravel+ support cards from a wide variety of issuers, such as American Express, Bank of America, Barclays, Capital One, Chase, Citi, Discover, U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo and more.

With most major banks, you can connect your My10x or 10xTravel+ account and your card details will be automatically uploaded.

However, if you have a credit card that’s not from a bank that supports the automatic connection, you can choose to manually enter your card details. Plus, My10x and 10xTravel+ have up-to-date information for tons of other credit cards, including lesser known cards.

Most notable benefits will appear in the My Benefits section, including statement credits, lounge access, hotel perks, free night awards, upgrade awards and more. Notably, however, you will not find automatic elite status perks in the My Benefits section nor will you find the benefits included with these statuses.

It’s also worth noting that benefits provided by a card’s payment network (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) typically won’t appear in your My Benefits section. These types of benefits often include trip delay protection, auto rental collision waiver, extended warranties and more. These benefits can save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars in come scenarios, so they’re definitely worth familiarizing yourself with.

How the Credit & Benefit Tracker Fits Into the Broader 10xTravel+ Toolkit

The credit card and benefit tracking tools are far from the only features in a 10xTravel+ subscription. Other notable features include a redemption tracking tool, award alerts, a lounge finder tool, a Southwest Companion Pass mode, a “Best Cards by Category” tool that helps you maximize your spending bonus strategy based on the cards in your wallet, and much more.

Altogether, these features can help you extract the greatest value possible out of your credit card benefits. Plus, using the redemption tracker tool, you can look back on the trips you’ve taken with your points and miles and even share them with other award travel enthusiasts.

Does 10xTravel+ Pay for Itself? The Breakeven Math

Of course, since a 10xTravel+ subscription costs $10 per month (or $100 annually with our 2 months free discount), users expect to reap at least that much value from this product. Let’s look at a scenario that exemplifies just how quickly this subscription can pay for itself.

The Realistic Case: A Mid-Tier Multi-Card Setup

Let’s say you had the following four cards in your wallet:

Of course, even casual credit card users probably won’t forget to use valuable benefits like the $300 annual travel credit from the Venture X, the $300 dining credit from the Bonvoy Brilliant and the $100 hotel savings benefit from the Strata Premier.

However, there are some more obscure benefits offered by these cards that could be overlooked. For example, the Strata Premier offers a Lyft credit of $5 per month and an Instacart credit of up to $10 per month. If the benefit tracking tool from 10xTravel+ reminds you to use these two benefits monthly, you’re already gaining $5 per month in value after the cost of your 10xTravel+ subscription.

Likewise, many Sapphire Preferred cardholders might overlook their DoorDash DashPass complimentary membership benefit, which is valued at around $120 per year. If 10xTravel+ reminds you to use this benefit as well as the ones described above, then you’ve already reclaimed $300 in value annually.

And you can continue to add to that reclaimed value by taking advantage of other overlooked benefits like the $2.50 per month transit credit included with the Strata Premier, the $50 annual Chase hotel credit included with the Sapphire Preferred and more.

Who Gets the Most Out of Unlimited Benefit Tracking

The Credit & Benefit Tracker tool will be most beneficial to those who have complicated credit card strategies involving multiple cards. If you have more than three cards in your wallet, then keeping track of all of your benefits starts to get difficult.

If you have fewer than three cards in your wallet, then keeping track of your cards’ benefits may not be an issue for you and the 10xTravel+ benefit tracker tool may not be of much value to you.

However, a 10xTravel+ subscription includes access to many other helpful tools that may be of use to you even if you don’t have many credit cards. The redemption tracker tool can help you keep track of your past redemptions and share them with other travel enthusiasts. And the best card by category tool can help you determine which card to use in each expense category. Plus, you get access to a private community which is worth the subscription cost all on its own.

The Cardholder Profiles That Benefit Most

As mentioned above, the cardholders who will benefit most from the benefit tracker tool are those with many credit cards. Additionally, cardholders with several high-annual-fee premium credit cards will typically receive an even greater benefit as these types of cards tend to offer long lists of benefits that can be hard to keep track of.

How to Start Tracking Your Benefits With 10xTravel+

In order to start tracking your benefits with 10xTravel+, you’ll first need to enroll in 10xTravel+. You can find a sign-up link on the Dashboard of your My10x account or you can sign up here.

Once you’ve started your 10xTravel+ subscription, your next step toward tracking your benefits will be to enter all of your credit cards into the My Wallet section of your account. Then, all of the benefits included with the cards you’ve entered will automatically appear in the My Benefits section.

You will have to manually enter when you use a certain benefit in order to track its usage. So, for instance, if you make a $180 travel purchase using the Capital One Venture X $300 annual travel credit benefit, you’ll need to go to your My Benefits page, select that benefit from the list, click the “Add usage” button and enter that you spent $180. This benefit will then be updated with the remaining available value.

Likewise, when you enter a usage of a benefit, your overview stats will also be updated, including the amount used this year and the utilization percentage.
