Availability to Japan this Spring

Spring time in Japan is world renowned for its Cherry Blossom season. United released a limited time sale on flights to Japan for as low as 25k per person one way in economy which happens to overlap Japan’s Cherry Blossom season! Fly from all over the US to/from Tokyo between April 14 and May 18, 2023. You must book by April 7 to receive the promotional fare. 

Examples of routes in economy for 50k roundtrip through United

• SFO to/from KIX
• SFO, LAX, EWR to/from HND, NRT
• ORD, IAD to/from HND
• DEN, IAH to/from NRT

If one of these hubs is not your home airport, don’t fret as you most likely can book from your home airport to Tokyo for the same price (25k per person one way) through United. If you do not have Chase points, you may also book through ANA in economy as a roundtrip ticket flying United for 50,000 as well. If booking roundtrip on United, you may want to add in an extra flight within Japan thanks to United’s Excursionist Perk.

If you prefer business class, you’re in luck. While exploring United’s sale, we also found availability in business in Polaris and on ANA for 72,400 per person one way in Polaris and 88k-92k on ANA! You know where else you can book those ANA seats in business… Virgin Atlantic! ANA business fares can also be booked through Virgin Atlantic for a whopping 45k per person (plus a bit of tax). You will need to call Virgin Atlantic to hold the tickets while you transfer points and then call back to book. If the taxes on Virgin Atlantic are a deal breaker, you may also book ANA business fares through other ANA partners such as Air Canada, Singapore Airlines, Avianca, Turkish, or Singapore.

All of the dates below have confirmed availability for at least 2 passengers with up to 9 seats available in economy. If your party is more than 9 passengers, you will need to call United to book. Expect to pay $5.60 per person each way in taxes in economy on United; taxes for business class varies depending on programs. Please note availability varies between programs.
