For many travelers, Fiji is a dream destination. And, if you plan on ever visiting this South Pacific island-nation, chances are you’ll have to take at least one flight on Fiji Airways. Unfortunately, prices for Fiji Airways flights can often be rather high, especially if you’re taking long-haul flights in business class. However, by using points and miles, you can book Fiji Airways business-class tickets for a very low out-of-pocket cost and experience your dream vacation without breaking the bank.

Fiji Airways business class isn’t the most luxurious business-class product out there (compared to airlines like Qatar Airways, Emirates or ANA). However, it did receive the award for “Best Business-Class Onboard Catering in Australia & Pacific” from Skytrax in 2024. So, you can expect to get a delicious meal if you’re taking a long-haul Fiji Airways business-class flight. All business-class passengers on long-haul Fiji Airways flights will also have angled lie-flat seats, meaning you’ll arrive at your destination rested and ready to enjoy your vacation.

In this article, we’ll explain the best ways to book Fiji Airways business-class flights with points and miles. We’ll also quickly cover what you can expect in business class on each aircraft type in the Fiji Airways fleet.

What to Expect in Fiji Airways Business Class

The Fiji Airways fleet consists of several different aircraft types, which are used for different flight routes. Each of these different aircraft types offers a different business-class product. The top-tier business-class product can be found on the Fiji Airways Flagship Airbus A350 aircraft, which are used primarily to service Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sydney and Auckland. In the business-class cabin in these aircraft, you can expect a lie-flat leather seat, direct aisle access, a 17-inch personal entertainment monitor, USB and AC charging ports, a premium mattress topper, a comfortable duvet and more.

The next-best business-class product in the fleet can be found aboard the Airbus A330 aircraft, which are primarily used on international routes covering Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Los Angeles and San Francisco. This cabin features leather angled lie-flat seats, a personal 15.4-inch entertainment monitor, USB charging port, duvet, premium mattress topper and more.

Next in the hierarchy are the Boeing 737 aircraft, which are used for short- and medium-haul routes in Australia, New Zealand, Honolulu and some regional destinations. The business-class cabin on these aircraft includes a reclining seat with a 48-inch pitch and in-seat video. You’ll also receive a duvet on these aircraft during night flights.

Fiji Airways also operates regional flights on ATR-72 aircraft. Business class on these aircraft is essentially the same as economy class with slightly more comfortable seats and more legroom. Business-class seats on these aircraft have a 31-inch pitch.

Regardless of which type of aircraft you’re flying on, business-class passengers on long-haul flights or night flights will receive an amenity kit containing Pure Fiji toiletries, a dental kit, eye shades and socks.

Fiji Airways business-class passengers are also able to access the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge in Nadi Airport or a partner lounge in other airports through Oneworld Alliance. You’ll also be able to skip the queues at the airport with priority check-in, boarding and baggage.

Best Programs Through Which to Book Fiji Airways Business Class

Since Fiji Airways is a member of Oneworld Alliance, there are several partner frequent flyer programs through which you can book Fiji Airways business-class award flights. Fiji Airways is also in the process replacing its Tabua Club frequent flyer program with the American Airlines AAdvantage program.

However, each frequent flyer program prices award flights differently, so the same flight may cost significantly fewer points or miles through one program than through another. And, certain frequent flyer miles are much easier to earn due to partnerships with credit card issuers.

So, with these things in mind, let’s look at some of the best programs through which to book Fiji Airways business-class award flights with points or miles.

Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan

Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan is one partner program through which it’s fairly easy to find Fiji Airways business-class award availability. You can use this program to book a dream vacation from North America to Fiji or to one of the other destinations that Fiji Airways serves.

For example, we found a long-haul Fiji Airways business-class award itinerary between Los Angeles (LAX) and Nadi (NAN), Fiji’s largest airport. Unfortunately, the only round-trip flights we were able to find between these two destinations were two months apart. The departing flight was on Jan. 3, 2026, and the return flight was on March 3, 2026.

Most people can’t afford to go to Fiji for two months. However, if this is a plausible itinerary for you, you could get stellar value per mile with this redemption. The total cost for these two flights through Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan was 150,000 miles plus $146 in taxes and fees.

If you were to book these exact same flights with cash instead of Alaska Airlines miles through the Fiji Airways website, it would cost you a whopping $5,433.

Fiji Airways business class roundtrip itinerary from Los Angeles to Nadi priced at $5,432.51 for January–March 2026.

So, factoring in the taxes and fees that you’d have to pay to book the award flight through Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan, this redemption would yield a value of about 3.5 cents per mile, which is great.

But, as mentioned above, this redemption isn’t all that practical for most working people. However, if you happen to live or work in Hawaii, there seems to be wide availability of Fiji Airways business-class award flights between Honolulu (HNL) and Nadi (NAN).

For example, we found a round-trip Fiji Airways-operated business-class award itinerary between these two airports in August 2025 for just 120,000 miles and $146 in taxes and fees. And, the departure and return flights were just eight days apart, which is a much more reasonable duration for a vacation.

If booked with cash through the Fiji Airways website, these flights would have cost about $6,320.

By booking these flights with Alaska Airlines miles instead of cash, you’d get a value of about 5.1 cents per mile, which is outstanding.

As you can see, booking Fiji Airways business-class awards through the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan program is a great way to get high value per mile. It’s also relatively easy to earn miles with this program since you can transfer points from Bilt Rewards to the program at a 1:1 ratio. Bilt points can be transferred directly to the Mileage Plan program within minutes.

Another great option for earning Alaska Airlines miles is signing up for an Alaska Airlines co-branded credit card. There are currently two of these credit cards available (a personal credit card and a business credit card), both of which allow you to earn Alaska Airlines miles on everyday purchases.

Qantas Frequent Flyer

Another program through which you can find Fiji Airways business-class awards at reasonable rates is Qantas Frequent Flyer. This program has two different types of award flights: Classic Flight Rewards (which are priced according to fixed award charts) and Classic Plus Flight Rewards (which are priced dynamically).

So, if you’re able to find a Classic Flight Reward for a Fiji Airways-operated business-class flight, you can often get decent value per point. However, finding Fiji Airways business-class award availability on long-haul routes is very difficult through this program.

However, you can often find good rates on Fiji Airways short- and medium-haul business-class flights. For example, we found a round-trip Fiji Airways business-class itinerary between Sydney (SYD) and Nadi (NAN) for 83,000 points and 295 Australian Dollars (about $184) in taxes and fees.

Fiji Airways business class award flight from Sydney to Nadi for 41,500 points plus $114, showing departure time of 6:00 AM and duration of 3 hours 55 minutes.
Fiji Airways business class award flight from Nadi to Sydney for 41,500 points plus $181, showing departure time of 7:00 PM and total duration of 5 hours 10 minutes.

If you were to book the same flights on the same dates with cash through the Fiji Airways website instead of Qantas points, it would cost you about $2,003.

Fiji Airways round-trip business class fare from Sydney to Nadi, departing June 7 and returning June 14, 2025, priced at USD 2,003.10.

Thus, factoring in the taxes and fees you’d have to pay for the award flight, this redemption would yield a value of about 2.2 cents per point, which is good.

As you can see from the example above, you can often find short- and medium-haul Fiji Airways business-class award flights through the Qantas Frequent Flyer that provide good value per point. Finding long-haul flights (like flights between North America and Oceania) is much more difficult but not impossible.

Earning points through the Qantas Frequent Flyer program is also fairly easy for U.S. citizens because the program is a transfer of several major U.S. credit card rewards programs, including American Express Membership Rewards, Brex, Capital One Rewards and Citi ThankYou Rewards.

American Airlines AAdvantage

Through the American Airlines AAdvantage program, you can consistently find Fiji Airways business-class award availability on a variety of routes, including long-haul routes between North America and Oceania. However, since the AAdvantage program uses a dynamic pricing model to price partner award flights, these Fiji Airways business-class awards cost a lot of miles and typically don’t provide high value per mile.

For example, we found a round-trip Fiji Airways business-class award itinerary between Los Angeles (LAX) and Sydney (SYD) that cost 660,000 miles and about $137, which is a very high rate.

Fiji Airways business class award booking from Los Angeles to Sydney round-trip via Nadi, costing 660,000 miles and $136.81 in taxes.

If you were to book the same flights on the same dates with cash through the Fiji Airways website, it would cost about $7,132.

Fiji Airways business class itinerary from Los Angeles to Sydney round-trip via Nadi in September 2025, priced at $7,132.11.

So, factoring in the taxes and fees paid for the award flight, this redemption would give you a value of about 1.1 cents per mile, which is low for a business-class award.

Nonetheless, since many U.S. travelers use the American Airlines AAdvantage program, you may have a large balance of AAdvantage miles. If that’s the case, then you may consider spending those miles on a Fiji Airways business-class award. However, if you don’t already have a large balance of AAdvantage miles, you should probably look into booking through one of the other programs mentioned above instead.

The Bottom Line

Fiji is a popular vacation destination and far from North America, which has driven cash prices for Fiji Airways business-class tickets up to a level that many people can’t afford. However, by using points and miles to book these business-class flights, you could fly to Fiji for your dream vacation for a very low out-of-pocket cost.

Since Fiji Airways is a member of Oneworld Alliance, there are several Oneworld partner frequent flyer programs through which you can book Fiji Airways business-class awards. Among these programs, Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan seems to be the best option for finding Fiji Airways business-class award availability at affordable rates. Plus, you can transfer points from Bilt Rewards (which you can transfer from directly) to the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan program.

Another program that has Fiji Airways business-class awards at favorable rates is Qantas Frequent Flyer. However, it can be very difficult to find Fiji Airways business-class award availability on long-haul flights through this program.

American Airlines AAdvantage also has a lot of Fiji Airways business-class award availability. However, these awards typically require a lot of miles because they’re priced using a dynamic pricing model.

In most cases, Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan is going to be your best bet for booking these awards and experiencing Fiji Airways business class on a budget.
