Business Class to Australia and New Zealand this Summer

Australia and New Zealand are two of the trickiest award redemptions to find saver awards (especially in business class). If either has been on your bucket list, now is the time to book as there are plenty of saver awards available through Air Canada flying on United and/or Air New Zealand in business from Houston, San Francisco, and Los Angeles to Auckland, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane between May and July 2023. 

Examples of routes in business (priced per person one way)

• LAX, SFO, IAH to/from AKL = 75,000
• SFO to/from SYD, BNE= 75,000
• LAX to/from MEL, BNE, SYD = 87,500
• SFO to/from MEL = 87,500

Air New Zealand and United are part of the Star Alliance so these flights may also be available through purchase through other Star Alliance partners like Avianca LifeMiles, United, or ANA. Although, the best one-way price is through Air Canada while the best round trip price would be through ANA (120k total per person). Please note ANA is only a transfer partner of AMEX and it would take at least two days for your points to transfer to ANA. If you book through Air Canada, you can also keep in mind you can add a stopover on each one-way or round trip ticket for as little as 5k extra per person. 

All of the dates below have confirmed availability for at least 2 passengers with up to 8 seats available. Expect to pay $50-100 per person each way in taxes. Please note availability varies between programs.
