Low Fare Business Class to Australia

Earlier this month we found flights to Australia and New Zealand for 75k-88k per person. If you didn’t book then, this deal just became even sweeter with the 15% transfer bonus from AMEX to Avianca LifeMiles if you transfer points by May 31 allowing you to book this summer for 70k per person in business on a direct flight to Sydney or Melbourne.

All routes on Avianca are 80k per person (with the transfer bonus only need to transfer 70k). If you don’t have AMEX MRs to take advantage of this bonus, you can still take advantage of these low fares through Air Canada with the following routes (priced in business per person):

• SFO to/from SYD = 75,000
• LAX to/from SYD = 87,500
• YVR to SYD = 83,500- 85,000
• SFO, LAX to/from MEL= 87,500

Air New Zealand and United are part of the Star Alliance so these flights may also be available through purchase through other Star Alliance partners like United or ANA. For example, if you book a round trip through ANA the price would be 120k total per person in business. Please note ANA is only a transfer partner of AMEX and it would typically take at least two days for your points to transfer to ANA. If you book through Air Canada, you can also keep in mind you can add a stopover on each one-way or round trip ticket for as little as 5k extra per person. 

If the airports listed are not your final destinations, you may be able to find similar fares to nearby destinations such as Cairns, Brisbane, Perth and New Zealand.

All of the dates below have confirmed availability for at least 2 passengers with up to 9 seats available. Any more than 9 passengers, you will need to call the program to verify seats and book. Expect to pay $60-130 per person each way in taxes. Please note availability varies between programs.
