If you’ve been around the points and miles game for awhile, you’ve surely heard of Priority Pass. For the uninitiated, a Priority Pass Select membership grants you access to thousands of airport lounges across the world for free.
Many credit cards such as the Chase Sapphire Reserve® Card offer a Priority Pass Select membership as a benefit.
To help expand the benefits for its members, Priority Pass has added restaurants to its list. Let’s look at how and where this new benefit works so you can start getting even more value from your membership.
How to Use Priority Pass at Restaurants
Using your Priority Pass benefit at restaurants is easy. Just present your card when you are seated, before you place your order, and the credit will be applied automatically to your bill.
The credit is roughly $28 per guest in at U.S. airports and similar at airports abroad. This is enough to get you a meal, a drink and maybe a bit more. The number of guests who qualify for the benefit varies depending on which credit card provides your membership. Below is a table that shows how many guests you receive based on which credit card has given you Priority Pass Membership.

Let’s break down what this means. If you have a Priority Pass Select membership from the American Express Platinum Card, you can get a maximum of 3 credits—one for yourself and 2 for your guests—worth $84.
Although, a Priority Pass membership from the Chase Sapphire Reserve® and Chase Ritz-Carlton Credit Card offer unlimited guests, restaurants can limit the number of people who receive the benefit.
One important restriction that applies across the board you need to remember is that the credit does NOT apply to tips. If your bill is less than the total amount, the remainder will not be given to staff as a tip.
I know there’s plenty of debate around tipping in the U.S., but tip appropriately on the full amount of the bill when using this benefit. If your bill was $100 before an $84 credit was applied, tip based on the $100 not the $16 remainder.
Just to reiterate, your credit does NOT apply to tips. Even if there is extra left at the end, that difference does not go to staff.
Locations and Restrictions (as of February 2018)
The list of restaurant locations accepting priority pass is growing. As this new benefit rolls out, expect there to be more locations that make this list.
Since this is a new benefit, users and program administrators are constantly learning more about how it is used. Most limitations we’ve seen have been imposed by individual restaurants and not Priority Pass.
The only limitation that applies across the board is that restaurants may limit access due to seating and at certain times of the day. This is nothing new for Priority Pass members as Priority Pass lounges have the same general restriction. So far, this isn’t being enforced at any restaurants.

Kentucky Ale Taproom
Benefit: $28 per guest
Hours: 5:00 AM until last scheduled flight departure
Location: Airside, next to Concourse B entrance
Denver International Airport (DEN)
Timberline Steaks & Grille
Benefit: $28 per guest
Hours: 6:00 AM until 9:00 PM daily
Location: Airside, center core of Concourse C
Restrictions: Excludes to-go orders and orders from D Bar French Macarons
Bonus: Access to the adjacent smoking lounge granted after finishing your visit
Miami International Airport (MIA)
Corona Beach House
Benefit: $30 per guest
Hours: 6:30 AM until 10:00 PM daily
Location: Airside, between gates D23 and D24
Restrictions: Free WiFi limited to 45 minutes
Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP)
PGA MSP Lounge
This one isn’t exactly a restaurant, but it isn’t exactly a lounge either. It is a restaurant with a golfing lounge included.
Benefit: $15 per guest towards meal, drinks, or a golf experience
Hours: 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM until 7:00PM Saturday & Sunday
Location: Airside, north end of the airport mall on the Mezzanine level
Restrictions: maximum 3 hour stay
New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
Bobby Van’s Steakhouse
Benefit: $28 per guest
Hours: 6:00 AM until 10:00 PM daily
Location: Airside, across from Gate 14 in Terminal 8
Restrictions: Maximum of 1 Guest (this means your maximum credit is $56)

Final Thoughts
Using the Priority Pass restaurant benefit is just as easy as using it at a lounge. Provide your card before you place your order and you will receive your credit on your final bill. If you have multiple memberships, the amount of guests you can receive credit for varies.
For maximum credit, use your Priority Pass Membership offered from the Chase Sapphire Reserve® or Chase Ritz-Carlton credit card.
Since restrictions vary by location, make sure you check the Priority Pass website before choosing where you will dine so you won’t be surprised.
