Our Take
The Citi Premier is one of the better (and most misunderstood) travel cards on the market.
This card is basically Citi’s version of the Chase Sapphire Preferred. The ThankYou Points can either be used to book travel (airfare, hotels, etc.) via the Citi Travel Center at a value of 1.25 cents per point or transferred to any of Citi’s transfer partners, which include Cathay Pacific, Air France, Etihad, Hilton, and more. Many, but not all, of the transfer rates are 1:1.
At a value of 1.25 cents via the Citi Travel Center this 60,000 point bonus is worth $750 of travel, with the potential to fetch even higher values via a partner transfer.
If you are over 5/24 and eligible to receive this card bonus, I think this card is a must get for any traveler.
You’ll want to be aware of Citi’s bonus and application rules before applying for this card.
